I received an email message on the 15th of November that I was approved.when I got my hardcopy it stated that notice date November 15' also valid from November 07 2013 to march 06 2014.

How could this be???how can it be valid on November 07 when I was still on initial review and I wasn't even approved at that time.

Congrats! We got that also and I talked to the agent and they said they sent it our file electronically on 12/5 and that the consulate received it already. Don't they send the physical copy also? Well either way we are ready to schedule are interview. So excited as we are getting close to being together.

I want to do it electronically.. how i do it.... my case is approved nov 12 but is not on nvc yet

Here in PI once you got your case number from nvc you can schedule your own interview date by just paying the interview fee..and we can download the packet from the us embassy manila site.. those are just instructions of what to bring and what to do next.. so i paid already my interview fee and got my schedule how about yours?

Where I can see if I can schedule my own interview? Is there a Website that I can check??? Thank u.

Hey sind27. I think each country may be different. Have you tried looking through the Caribbean regional forum? I saw some posts specific to the DR there.

HI! So we received an RFE notification this morning at 8:30am PST. Has anyone here received an RFE and what are they usually for? From what I hear they act pretty quickly once they receive the evidence.

Any advice is appreciated.

I received a RFE and after I handed it in, everything was quite quick afterwards. They just want evidence that you two are in an ongoing relationship. Mt fiance and I handed in all Skype logs, pictures of us together, flight itineraries, screen shots of facebook comments of our engagement announcement, pictures of each other with our families, and more screen shots. we also sent in receipts of hotels, the engagement ring etc.

be very thorough with this. have a cover page, label as much as you can as well. you don't want them to send another RFE so make sure its detailed. Ours was about 25 pages in total.

I called the DOS and my case is finally at the NVC and for a second my heart was happy, when I asked for my case number she told me it would be 4 to 8 weeks for the information to be entered into there computer system.

Sometime I think that other VJ's have a point when they say if they treated these petitions like people that are away from their love ones and not like another application on there desk we wouldn't have to wait 4 to 8 weeks to have information entered into a computer system that should have been entered in form the beginning of the process.

I know I should have more patience but it's kind of hard when I have to come home to an empty house or when we argue about the stupidest things! I'm so OVER it!

Yanet..I would call the DOS again in a couple of days, and hopefully you will get a different person to talk to. Based on visa journeys tracking, historically it takes 4 weeks for the NVC to receive your approved petition from your service center, And then the NVC takes about 7 days to process and mail off to your embassy.

I'm tracking several cases that went through last week, and the NVC was really fast, so the 4 to 8 week hold in NVC seems unusual. My approved visa is a week behind you, so I'm am about ready to call myself.

Maybe someone else in SEPTEMBER has more to add to this?

Omg this is so so stressed wow... I got a month a nothing happen after they approved it, I call the NVC and they dont have my case yet, And to complete I called uscis because I havent received the HARDCOPY and they told that i had to do the form I-824 I thought that that form was free BUT No it cost US$405 WHATTTTTT????? it is too much.... OMG DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO....Now I feel depressed wow... It wasn't my fault if i didnt receive it, dont know what happend... so sad now...

They tell everyone it will take 4 to 8 weeks. After a week to 10 days start calling. Many people get their number within 2 weeks. Best of luck.

Hello everyone! Im new here and im september filer also. Unfornately its been six weeks already and havent receive our case number yet! Ive been calling nvc and dos for like everyday now but still nothing. I have even email them a scan I-129F approval. I know we still have couple more weeks till 8 weeks time frame nvc always told us but theres anyone of you guys have any idea what is going to happen if we reach that 8 weeks and still nothing happen?
