Hi! That's what I am reading. It could even be a box that was not checked correctly.

We included a full scan of passport of every single page; travel visa's i purchased to visit him; flight records for my 3 flights there; flight records for several flights inside the US together; photos from past 2 years including marathons and triathlons we completed together; engagement cards from family/friends; emails including our first correspondence when we met; whatapp messages and so on... the only thing i didn't include are electrical/cable bills with his name on them.

The only advice I can give is (I know) completely useless: try not to stress about it. You'll get a letter soon enough that explains what more they need from you. From what I've seen, the vast majority of RFE's are for really simple, easily fixed things, and most petitions are approved relatively quickly once the requested information is provided. Hang in there!

Well... Just got off the phone with D.O.S. And the agent there was SO much nicer then the ones I have talked to at the NVC. She was saying that our file (and I imagine many others on VJ) have most likely arrived and are just waiting to be put into the NVC system. She said since the holidays are starting to hit it's taking a little longer. I encourage people to call D.O.S. for a polite helpful response. She was actually encouraging me to call them everyday and check.

To volkditty: congratulations!!

Hey, What date was your NOA2 Approved? If it's close to mine I hope this applies to me too lol

My noa2 was dated Nov 7. She was saying that since the 11th was a holiday it probably didn't leave until the 12th. Then we had thanksgiving which probably added another delay.

I just called DoS Visa Unit, it took me about 5mins to get through, the Visa Specialist asked for my Receipt # and asked me to confirm date of approval.

I confirmed 4th November 2013 she told me call back next week, it has been taking 4-6weeks at the moment. Very polite and helpful trust in 2weeks time for positive news for us all.

Hey thanks for the update Volditty! Congratulations to you, I hope that means I will get mine tomorrow haha.

Did you call the NVC to get it?

When I called the NVC the CSR told me there was nothing in the system yet, it takes about 8weeks but DoS told me to call back next week I thought they would say the same thing. Ah well, it's all a waiting game, things will look up soon.

Hey everybody. I just got off the phone with the Department of State (1-202-485-7600...so much more helpful than the NVC). My NOA2 was dated 11/5 and the agent said our case had been received at NVC and gave me our MNL case number. :) So, it took almost exactly a month for us. Good luck to everyone.

The USCIS page still says On November 5, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E), same as has ever since the NOA-2. It never updated to say they sent it to the NVC, so don't worry if you're not seeing that either.

I did get my case number by calling the NVC, but it seems like calling DoS is the easier way to do it. I called the NVC several times to see if they received it and spent an average of 30 minutes on hold each time. Today, the lady told me they had just received the paperwork and I could call back in a week or so to see if they have forwarded it to the embassy, so hopefully it'll move quickly from here on out.

Congrats!!! I just called after seeing your message and we got our case number now also. Funny, the lady we talked to yesterday was an a-hole and told us it would be 8 more weeks after they sent the package we would recieve our case number as they seemed to be delayed with an uptake of applications. Talk about misinformation. LOL! Who(benificiary or petitioner) receives the packet and in what form(email, mail etc)?

Thanks-
