Now that you have your NOA-2, the application will go to the NVC (which can take up to 8 weeks, so be ready to wait). The NVC will assign you a case number and then forward it to your consulate. Once the consulate gets your application, they will send you another stack of paperwork (Packet 3) which includes the DS-160.

That information is just wrong. They don't send out any paperwork, it's all done online, including the DS-160. Just check out Hank's link (I tried to post a link here but I can't).

Please read: Steve&Ema is/are correct. In the Philippines, it is not certain that you will ever receive a package in the mail. Annie has already had her medical and scheduled her embassy interview and she has not received anything in the mail. If you wait for that, you may be apart from your loved one much longer than you should be. The info on Hank's page has been verified and is correct, use it..

Cheers

We have almost the same exact timeline as you and were processed by TSC. We were approved on October 24th and still hasn't been received or shipped to NVC yet. I will call USCIS on Monday to find out what us happening. It is frustrating though we are still doing good for time I guess to normal standards.

Please let me know what you found out.. yeah we are still doing good as of the moment compare to normal process.. just want to make sure that nvc will get our cases.. sending good vibes to you..

Different consulates have different procedures, and it's important to make sure you know your local practices. Thank you for pointing out that Manila is on-line only. However, the couple I was replying to is filing in Tunisia, which does send a Packet 3. Regardless, they will still have to wait until they have a case number assigned before they can fill out the DS-160

Just when I thought the pace of things was about to pickup and things would start happening, it seems my case is stuck in limbo on someone's desk or in the TSC's mail room waiting for who-knows-what.

I see you got your NOA2 on the 15th. I received an email 2 weeks after my approval to say it was on its way to NVC. I think 2 weeks to be sent out is an average time frame (excluding the ones who are waiting much longer for unknown reasons), so maybe yours will be sent out at the end of this week.

I got frustrated with mine not being sent because I couldn't understand why someone would want to sit on it in an office. Put it straight in the mail!

Congratulations Yanet Gonzalez! My case is still staying at TSC at the bottom of the carton. Maybe if I bombard them with emails and calls they will get tired of hearing from me and ship my case out.

Thanks!

I didn't call them. I was going to start calling right after Thanksgiving but I got the message last night. I couldn't believe it, now we are getting ready for the interview. I hoping that everything goes well once the paperwork is in Managua, Nicaragua. The postal service is NOT good and I hope that the package is not lost or misplaced.

I think there is an adjudicator or three at TSC who like to keep their buns warm by sitting on approved files.
