For her to enter on a tourist visa for the purpose of getting married would violate the tourist visa requirements and we told them that we were in the process of applying for a fiancee visa and wouldn't be getting married until that was approved. The immigration offical seemed very pleased that we understood the rules and policies and were following them to the letter. With that, they let her enter with her daughter and we had a great month together during the summer. When she comes in December, she'll have all of the paperwork with her to provide the backup that we're following the proper process and I don't expect that they'll give her any trouble. It helps that she has businesses in the Philippines as well as other committments that help prove that she plans on returning. So we've continued to believe that if we do everything on the up and up and follow the process and rules that we won't have any issues, which so far has proven true.

It does if you proposed while she's overseas. If you proposed and got married lets say after 60 days then it doesn't violate the terms of her visa as she entered as a tourist and was a tourist until you guys decided to get married. Much faster and cost less money.

I don't believe she will be allowed to enter in December as she has an immigrant visa pending. Technically if she enters on a tourist visa at this point she already has intent to marry you. Now you are entering on false terms for the tourist visa. I recommend doing a ton of searching however, I believe she will be denied entry.

There was a couple who recieved their NOA2 from CSC today in the new content section... It hasn't uploaded to igor's list yet though. Do the processing centers shut down over the weekend or something? It seems like the last couple days there hasn't been any approvals. Not from CSC anyway.

You're checking your case status at USCIS by the SRC#? I checked those around me to see if any had been approved and had a feeling that it was coming soon as those around me were all getting RFE or approved. Based on other approval date ranges, you should be hearing something soon. Hang in there.

Hi everyone!

Just got a NOA-2 notification this morning and am sooooooo happy! Took 41 days in total from NOA1 to NOA2, and actually the petition got approved even before the VJ estimated time (my VJ timeline said the expected date of approval will be between Nov 8 and 18th). Me and my fiance applied by ourselves, no lawyer invloved, and so far everything went smoothly.

Our timeline is as follows:

I-129F sent: September 23, 2013

NOA-1: September 26, 2013

Alien Reg Number changed: October 2, 2013

NOA-2: November 5, 2013

Thanks to all VJ community for sharing their advice and experience. Really helps a lot to survive while waiting.

Wishing you all to get approved soon! It's a long journey which requires a lot of patience but the result will be well worth the wait! Good luck:)
