Hey everyone!

I hope all is well with all September 2013 filers. I'm just touching base, Congrats to everyone who's cases have moved on.

I've been so excited I've check USCIS Status updates everyday since our Alien Reg # was changed.

Sigh no news yet but we're hoping to hear something soon.

Maybe I shouldn't check status updates everyday lol!

Yes the approval came through about 4 hours later. Which was very good news Hopefully if others got the same alien reg message they get a similar quick approval.

No way! Relationships like this are difficult, but it's worth it. Do I want him here tomorrow? Absolutely! In a few years this will be a distant memory. Hang in there.

On October 28, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I guess I will wait a couple of days and check at NVC to see if they have received the package.. One more step completed..

Congrats! Wow,things seem to be moving quickly for you. We filed Sept 7th and still haven't received our Alien Registration number yet, I'm not sure what to make of it. I'm wondering if it may have anything to do with the fact that I already have a Social security number. I went to college in the US and worked on campus for almost the entire time so I had to get one. Any ideas?

Hi jens_prodigy,

I didn't get my alien registration number change until shortly before we received our NOA2. Looks like you received your NOA1 about 6 weeks ago. I would not worry until a few more weeks pass. Maybe your petition was a little more complicated because of the things you mentioned. If you look at several timelines from people from the Bahamas, perhaps you can get an idea of typical timeframes for an NOA2.
