Hello Everyone

I'm getting my stuff together for London and have been reading the Embassy requirements list that's on here. A tad cornfuzzled because I've read numerous reviews and not many people mention needing a new and updated letter of intent, yet on there it asks for one. Am I better off taking one just to be on the safe side and does it need to be notarised? Our application is well within the timeframe and hopefully will be by the time I get to interview.

Thank you.

London's letter of instruction will tell you that if you go past the 4 month validity of the petition approval, they will want a new notarized letter of intent from the petitioner to revalidate the expired petition. The beneficiary never does a letter of intent for London.

The list on VJ contains a LOT more than will be required of you in London. Not sure what list you are using so can't comment on it from a London point of view for you.

Hiya

Thank you for the swift reply. The list was from the embassy info page on here

I figured I didn't do the letter of intent just wanted to know if I needed to get my fiance to do another one after reading that but thank you for helping out with your answer, very much appreciated.

That page has not been updated so don't go by it too much. much has changed very recently.

I thought you meant some VJ list that says you need NOA2, a full copy of the petition, evidence of your relationship, many kinds of financial proof, letter of intent---none of which you need for London. Yes, to proof of finances but they don't specify any particular way to show it. One thing will do it. Two is a backup. It doesn't even have to be a tax return.

Here's a thread I started with a London list. That is still an accurate list except the link for the police certificate has changed. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/350185-london-2012-k1s-from-noa2-to-interview-thread/

London K1 web page http://london.usembassy.gov/iv_15.html (basically your packet 3)

Documents taken to the interview, not mailed---none of them mailed, despite what the form DS-156k says about attaching. http://london.usembassy.gov/application_documents.html
