URGENT...Rejection notices with I -485 packet for wrong amount on check

They mailed us the entire packet back, reorganized a little and thing I had paper clipped together they stapled.

The reason for rejection for each of the forms, I-131, I-485, and I-765 is due to incorrect amount. I sent a certified check from my bank in the amount of $1010.00 made out to the U.S. Department of Homeland security.

What did I do wrong and how should I correct it?

Do I simply mail back the packet as is, with new check or money order?

I thought $1010.00 was correct!

No. It's $1.070 for the AOS, AP and EAD.

Ok well that's easy enough to fix. How could I have missed that?? I'm guessing it used to be 1010 and I had been reading outdated guides and threads on these forums

For most people it's $1070 ($985 + $85 biometric fee).

Just resend everything as is with a new check for the correct fee.

A certified bank check is ok though?

I always used a personal check so I could check online when it cleared. Took away a little of my stress when I saw that the check had cleared.

Given that you had missed something so trivial and so obviously stated like the amount of the check, might I recommend rereading the entire guide on the VJ website and insuring, once again, that you have everything in order.

Also make sure that you double check each and every form with their current version online, and confirm that you are using the latest forms. Many were changed merely months ago.

I suggest you also take this opportunity to recheck the rest of you I-485, I-131, and I-1765 packets if everything is n order.
