Before you jump the wagon, you should read my post properly and correctly. Where did i mention that I-130's of citizens were processed in service centers all the time? Infact i was talking about I-130's of LPR's and if they file it stand alone it goes to service centers like CSC, TSC, VSC and ones with the concurrent filing(READ AGAIN: LPR's) goes to NBC. PD does play a role post I-130 on LPR's and till July wait time has been 2yrs!. CSC/TSC/VSC was all backlogged by two years or even more till July 2013. You should go see the statistics of I-130's at those service centers before july. Since july of this year, CSC for example has been approving I-130 cases really fast and yes PD does play a role in the next step of the process and its good to read up on those if you don't know how it works. Only point i would agree with you is the mistake that USCIS made by sending I-130's of IR/CR to NBC only.

Yes, F2A's PD does play a role post I-130 approval. However, and that's what bothers us, the fact that USCIS is able to process I-130/F2As and I-129f/K-1s in a timely manner but not I-130/CR-1s is just maddening.

They only recently started transferring I-130s to the service centers. By the time they get to ours it will be summertime. Our next steps will take additional 3-6 months, so you still might get your visa sooner than us.

That said, it's not your fault, of course. Congrats and good luck!

Mr. Blueberry reached out to the Frank Wolf's office again yesterday and we were told they contacted USCIS last week and haven't heard anything back yet.

Not holding my breath about it, but would like to know where our petition is.. I don't believe in Overland Park anymore

Like i indicated before, it is based on the service center. If USCIS had transferred the I-130 to other service centers earlier and not just process it at NBC that would have made the difference. So it is based on service center where the I130 goes to. I sincelrely wish and hope IR's get their I-130 processed at other Service cetners as well.

Did you not read this part of my post...." if you are referring in any way to those I-130s filed by citizens"? Yes, I understand how PDs work. I was speaking about the USCIS portion of the process.

"Mistake" is a huge understatement when it comes to the USCIS sending the I-130s of U.S. Citizens to the NBC only.

How did you get your interview so quickly? Were you adjusting status in the states?

I was not referring to I-130's by IR/CR anyway in my earlier post (and not even close) so any question about that doesn't arise in the first place. I will leave it at that about PD's. Good to know you understand on the workings of PD post I-130.

Timely manner at OTHER SERVICE CENTERS is the key here and not just I-130 alone. Concurrent filing of I-130/I485 cases (F2A) are processed at NBC and I-130's there aren't approved at the same rate as CSC or TSC/VSC since July 2013. So its not correct that all I-130's of LPR's are getting processed in a timely manner everywhere than IR/CR and its largely dependent on the service center.

Like i indicated before, it is based on the service center. Look, all this mess was caused by implementing DACA program.

USCIS made a decision to adjudicate DACA petitions first and not US Citizens' petitions for their spouses.

Up until August 2012 I-130s were being adjudicated at the service centers. Then, thanks to DACA, they started transferring them to local offices (huge mess). Then they stopped (Feb I think) and nothing was happening up until Oct 21st. A few approvals here and there. Nothing to write home about.

The question is, why USCIS kept routing I-129f/K-1s and I-130/F2As to the service centers but almost completely neglected I-130/CR-1s? What took them so long to start transferring them as well?

" If USCIS had transferred the I-130 of IR/CR to other service centers earlier and not just process it at NBC that would have made the difference."

The service centers were backlogged up until May. I doubt they would be able to adjudicate all kinds of petitions in a timely manner. That'd be a lot of petitions. K-1, F2A and CR-1.

And what is the deal with Overland Park? This facility was supposed to clear the backlog caused by DACA and prevent a bigger one. Never happened.

I hear you and i understand DACA took away resources. But all i am trying to say is that even I-130/F2A are processed at NBC(ones where I-130 and I485 F2A cases are filed concurrently) and they don't see the same process off late as CSC/TSC/VSC. Number of approvals of I-130/F2A from NBC is not as super fast from CSC/TSC/VSC.

Right form the start standalone I-130/F2A were always at Service centers like CSC/TSC/VSC. They never went to NBC where as I-130's IR/CR were at NBC and so did F2A's with I-130/I485 concurrent filing. So F2A at NBC is going through the same issue as I-130/IR.

"The service centers were backlogged up until May. I doubt they would be able to adjudicate all kinds of petitions in a timely manner. That'd be a lot of petitions. K-1, F2A and CR-1."

Some of the F2A's were upgraded as IR/CR1. Don't know if they went to NBC and got stuck there. I don't know about TSC/VSC but CSC started approving F2A I-130's at a rapid pace since July 2013. I hope that service centers keep approving I-130/IR at service centers like CSC/TSC/NVC post transfer from NBC(and hope it happens at a good pace) at the same pace or even faster than now.

I guess it's hard for us to understand why F2As are being processed faster than US Citizens' petitions. Regardless of where the petition is being adjudicated, priority should be given to citizens. That's all.

Nothing against you, per se. But try to understand.

This just made me cry... Thanksgiving tomorrow.

I'll try to think grateful thoughts tomorrow... while I'm sad that I'm not with my husband. And quite possibly won't be for the next Turkey Day as well.

Mr. Blueberry reached out to the Frank Wolf's office again yesterday and we were told they contacted USCIS last week and haven't heard anything back yet.

Not holding my breath about it, but would like to know where our petition is.. I don't believe in Overland Park anymore

Good luck, Blueberry! I hope that he gets some sort of assistance in moving your application through the process. Seriously...I DO believe that the Senators can and do make an impact. Keep at it. Ask Mr. Blueberry to keep up the good work and the pressure on. I'm really and truly confident it makes a difference. (From my experiences so far.) Good luck! dancin5hr.gif Keep us posted!

OMG..not even CLOSE, Blueberry. I don't want to depress you all by telling you about this part of the process. I just got a checklist because I didn't check a freaking box. Took them one full month to review that paperwork & they will now do the same with the returned paperwork. At this point, we've been a NVC almost 2 months. I'm a little depressed about it. Not looking like he'll have an interview now until possibly Feb. And I'm probably hopeful to say that...it's ridiculous.

Still no news on you guys? Is your paperwork in limbo/nowhere to be found???

Sigh, this sucks :( But at least the NVC stage is not as horrible as the USCIS one... Fingers crossed you get Case Complete before Christmas, Jen :)

Nah, no news. We still haven't heard back from the congressman Wolf's office. Our file is probably in Lee's Summit and at the current rate of transfers it won't be moved for another 4 months. So, 5-6 more months of waiting for the September filers :(
