Ugh...totally understand the horrible flights! It seems like it's always a choice between spending waaaay more than we should versus spending hours in layovers that are just so draining. And all of this to see our husband or wife! So ridiculous. So, good luck on finding a good flight that's not too over-priced!!!

Gosh, I suppose I should count how many days until I see my honey again, too. I don't dare count though, because I hate the wait and if I just try to think "next month," it's somehow easier. He's planning on coming for Christmas (hopefully he's allowed in and there are no problems...)

Still no news on where your file is at? Seriously...that's ridiculous. You don't even know for sure which facility it's in? I thought they had to tell you that. I'm thinking this is a good reason to contact a Senator. Your hubby probably should do it, of course...but, if things are in limbo still--that's just unacceptable....now it's November. A few weeks of 'confusion' would be understandable...now running into 2 months is unacceptable. I'm annoyed *for* you.... *HUGS*

I flew to the U.S. and back many times, and never have I seen such ridiculous flights! It's OK though, worse case scenario he will spend a night at Heathrow Marriott.. and then hop on a plane to Krakow :)

I don't think your hubby will have any problems, you guys are almost done with the process! Pretty obvious he wouldn't want to use VWP and stay in the U.S. :)

Well, our NOA1s came from OP, but expedite requests and such come from Lee's Summit. So I think it's safe to assume our files are there, too? Although, who knows.

Customer Service says Overland Park doesn't exists :P

Costa Rica loses... everything. When I first arrived a few years back my mom and friend both sent me packages for Christmas with tracking numbers & insured. After two months I went to see where they were. The workers told me that the tracking numbers were only for the USA and they change when they come into CR. Great system, right? They then told me the USA lost all my packages and mail (letters, postcards, etc). As you can imagine, I did not renew my mailbox.dry.png

Wow! But why would the tracking numbers change? Doesn't make sense...

My husband sent me many packages already but this? has just never happened!

And to think I was worried about tax and customs fees. Never crossed my mind my (Australian-made) boots could end up in Australia instead of Poland rofl.gif

So did your husband apply for that job in Czech Rep? Is it in Prague?

I just love Prague... I would love to live there one day... There, or somewhere in Sweden :)

That's a shame... I send packages to my husband all the time. He lives WAYYYYYY up in the mountains. I can send a package that weighs about 10lbs and it gets there within 10 days. I don't get a tracking number but I get a customs number from the customs receipt and I can track it all the way to his home town. I even send little greeting cards and he gets them fine too. I couldn't do that few years ago.. But now its great. I sent a cell phone last month. It got there fine. There is a delivery company that only delivers to Costa RIca... Door to Door. we used them many times. They go by size of the box, not weight. They are in NJ but they come out to PA to pick up..Maybe they have an office near you or can recommend another company. If you want to call them, send me a message... I'll forward the number to you

Thanks Just been trying to keep myself busy with my kids and work to pass the time faster. I've even started my own business trying to get that going too. It helps. But I'd much rather have husband with me. And its cery frustrating that we have to b apart for so long.

Samni, please fill out your timeline as we have very similar ones it seems. Thanks.

Hey guys. We finally received the hard copy of the NOA1 (I-797C) for the I-130 application in the mail today after about 5 weeks. The one thing that I have a question about is what does it mean if there is a "priority date" listed on the NOA1? Does that mean something special? This date says September 25, 2013 and happens to be the same date as the "received date".

***edit*** For those wondering, it was sent from the USCIS National Benefits Center in Overland Park, KS ;) (is that good?)

Priority Dates do not apply to us, cause our visas are always available. No caps on them.

We haven't seen any approvals from Overland Park yet. And they started being sent there in May.

My husband got me UGGs and shipped them to me last Wednesday. They just arrived in... Australia.

It's almost funny, but not really.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend and that next week will bring more clarity and/or some good news for all of us...

I HAD to reply to you two....coz I had something similar happen this past weekend. Hubby sent me our IV package from Netherlands. I tracked it with Fed-Ex and they said it was in Newark on Saturday morning, then in Paris on Saturday afternoon. So it supposedly went from Amsterdam-Paris-Newark and back to Paris. We called and got two different answers. I got a call back from California. He got a call back from Montreal (in French.) It was all pretty ridiculous, frustrating...but now, I can say it was funny. But, yes...another of the joys of our LD marriages, eh?

Blueberry...UGGs are awesome! That was a super nice present. :) Good job Blueberry-Hubby!!! =)
