Thanks Murf & Reggie!

Blueberry Pancake - I'm guessing the California Processing Center is where we'll be processed since I'm in California...no other clue why they did that!

It seems like a few of us are living apart....it's not fun. Hubby just left on Saturday and I'm already so sad without him. Coping strategies anyone?

What does your email acceptance say? Does it say it was routed to CSC?

Mine says it was accepted and routed to National Benefits Center.

Most likely to the new one in Overland Park, KS. That's where all petitions go lately.

Here's what it says exactly: "Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS California Service Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number..."

I wonder why they route them to different places...

Ha. That's different.

Are you military, filing from abroad etc?

So weird! BUT CSC K-1 filers have been getting approvals within a month lately! even 19 days. So keep checking your status now. You may get a super fast approval too!!

OMG, I would be SOOO SOOOO happy if I got a super fast approval. I'm not military but hubby and family members have had clearances for work. I'm filing from here, but he's there...don't know how that impacts.

Would be AWESOME if we all get super fast responses and approvals! Thing is, I know we all need to get a lot of paperwork. I think that paperwork alone will take a few months to pull together - the police clearances, the tax documents, certified birth certs, etc. I can't believe people got 19-day approvals. So wish we could have done the fiancé visa and had him stay here, but not working for a whole year just doesn't make sense $$$ wise...

Fingers crossed, girl! :)

Browse around VJ and you'll see for yourself that K-1 filers have been getting approved very fast.. Not everyone, mostly recent filers.

Good for them, of course.... but that's just infuriating :(

Let's see what happens! :)

Welcome Jenmatt smile.png

As long as your husband shows enough strong ties to his home country, he should be fine... letter from his employer, mortgage, lease etc. Good luck!

Why was your case sent to CSC?

Welcome Vlntine smile.png

When was your petition delivered? Like Murf&Reggie said- some people never get their NOA emails and are never able to check their status online.

Give it a few more days! smile.png

Alright! smile.png

I think overworriers like us subconsciously seek out partners who are super positive and happy ... and have qualities we lack...to balance us out wink.png And teach us how to just f'ing chill! Haha wink.png

Update, update! We did get our NOA1 via text and email on Monday night. Just before midnight. Yay! The status already shows initial review smile.png

I agree, we probably do seek out partners like that. ;)

Congrats! Great to hear. :) Ours shows Initial Review as well.

Yes we are living apart too.. Hopefully he will be able to come and visit me here in Poland in a month or two. I so miss him sad.png

My wife knows how you feel. I'll be going over to Poland for Wigilia and Sylwestra, but will have to leave on January 5th. :( It sucks.

Just found out I may not see my husband til after Christmas... It's already been 2,5 months since we last seen each other. And it's not getting easier. Only harder.

Breaks my heart that there is so many of us so horribly hurting :(

We spent 4 hours talking on Skype today. 'Skype marriage', I call it.

:(

Rysiu, have you ever spend Wigilia and Sylwester in Poland, or will it be your first time? :)

Blueberry Pancake, I am SO SO SO sorry. I completely understand how hard that is because I'm in the same shoes with my hubby. I know we just got married and spent a month together, but he has gone back to Amsterdam and we won't see each other until Christmas either. It's not as long, but it's really hard to do the "Skype Marriage" or "Skype Relationship" thing. If you need to cry one someone's shoulder, feel free...I understand the pain.

All I can say is that I try to keep busy with my real life. I have plenty at work and at home. I'm sure you do, too. It doesn't really get rid of the pain, but it helps fill the time until we're together.

On a really bad bad bad bad BAD note--I just looked at the stats and trends for the California Service Center and it is BAD. They are so much slower than every other center in the country...by months and months. I'm considering contacting my congresswoman now. I really am. It's ridiculous how much slower it is.... Just my luck to be assigned to that one. :(
