September 2013 I-130 Filers

That's called concurrent filing. I-130 + I-486.

For people already in the U.S... Say on J-1 or B-2 visa. Or VWP or something else.

Well, if my husband were here while we were waiting for our approval, it would be a walk in the park. I wouldn't care if they took 2 years to process his papers.

Hi, everyone! Sorry, I'm not from Poland, but I have a question. :-)

I filed the I-130 and am not planning to file the I-129. When I called USCIS they said it is taking just as long to process them so there is no point and this way my husband (Dominican) will be a Lawful Permanent Resident when he enters the US instead of going through all that, too. Is that basically what you all are doing? When I look on USCIS's website it kind of directs me to the K-3 visa section and I know that's for I-129's. But for the IR-1/CR-1 process on here I have seen form numbers that I don't recognize and a separate path with different forms. Basically, I don't know what the heck is going on. What is my process called so I can track the thing with the right stats on here? Thanks in advance!

If you filed in September, or between May and now, there isn't anything to track. I'm sorry...

The center our petitions were routed to (NBC in Overland Park, KS) is not open yet. I mean the center itself is, just not the division responsible for I-130 processing.

I filed in August and when I called today for a location they said it is being processed at the National Benefits Center (NBC). Are your/our petitions waiting for the Kansas center to open before they will be processed further? It looks like you and I are on the same timeline:

Good news! After calling USCIS today and waiting 2 hours and 20 minutes to speak to a Tier 2 Representative, I found out that my I-130 was accepted back on September 25 and the hard copy mailed to me here in Mexico on September 26! Now we continue to wait!

"Touched" means that something was done on your case e.g. was looked at, was transferred, RFEd, etc.

On the My Case Status site it will be shown as "last updated".

I can not believe this is what I have to share with you tonight....but...our case has been received TODAY at the NVC!!!!!! The rep told me to wait about 10-20 days for it to be entered into the computer system! YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!
