Nothing yet from NVC. I did get a very nice man though who explained the process. This is sort of ridiculous. They are now saying it takes 4 weeks to get from our service centers to the NVC....and then it takes them about 4 weeks to input the data into their systems. Seriously! I can mail something and it gets somewhere in 2-3 days, 4 max. I can open an envelope in say...30 seconds (to be generous) and inputting data...well, let's say that takes 10 minutes because I'm a slow typist. I still only come up with 1 week..let's be generous--2. I just can't wrap my head around the inefficiency...

Well, thats what happens when you pay someone 15 bucks and hour and they cant lose their cushy job... but if we fire the 5% of employees from each gov department, it is suprising the response and increase in efficiency you would see. Even with 5% less employees, you will see a 10% increase in efficiency... why you ask? Easy, because they know if they dont shape up, they will ship out! sorry had to vent...

That's smart though and better in the long run. I think you're doing the right thing. And definitely better that your baby being born there will be costing a lot less. When my nephew was born last year, my brother got bills within 1 week for over $20,000...granted, his insurance picked up most of that...but he was still left with several grant in co-pays. That's with amazingly good insurance. It's kind of astonishing what "good" insurance doesn't even pick up anymore.

Ok...if you don't know, I feel ok saying "it." Didn't know if "it" had been already identified as a s/he. LOL! Boys are really really cool. I love having a boy! But, I think girls are adorable too. I think I was supposed to be a boy-mamma...first time, anyway. Don't know if there will be another one, so I'm happy with my boy! I did ask my hubby the other day though if he would be willing to adopt in the future. We'll see... You will love being a dad.

Yes, we're very glad that we'll save so much money with the baby being born in Poland. And there's a huge plus to that in that it gets dual citizenship at birth. So he/she will never ever have to go through any of the immigration ####### its parents had to go through and will be able to live in Europe or the states when grown up. Which is a great choice I think. It really expands one's horizons in their life.

haha we say "it" sometimes too. No worries. :) What makes boys cool? I'm curious. I can't wait to be a dad, but sometimes I feel like being a father makes it harder to bond with the child because I don't have that immediate physical bond my wife will have. :/ I hope that makes sense. Just feel like I won't have as strong of a bond. Where's your hubby from again?

r060...yes, the dual citizenship thing is really handy. I have it myself and I love traveling to Europe and not having to endure the madness. And coming back home here, also nice and easy. I need to get my son's dual citizenship sorted out...I just don't have the time/money to invest in that until our I-130 stuff is finished...

Boys are just amazing little creatures. I can't give you one thing...I will tell you--they are so much more troublesome and energetic, physically, than girls. But, girls are definitely more emotional...I watch my niece and see it! My brother has 2 boys and one girl and says the same thing all the time. Boys are go go go...ALL the time, literally..non-stop. But, they're really fun. They enjoy playing a LOT. It doesn't take much to make them smile and laugh. Which is super cool as a parent! But, girls are super cute and I admit that I'm a little jealous of my friends who get to shop in the girl sections of stores, coz they have a LOT more fun stuff. But, on the other hand...dressing a boy is so much easier! LOL...trying to give you the best of both sides, just incase you have a girl. :) My dad totally wanted a boy as his first child and he got a girl (me) and was the best dad ever, so I'm sure you'll be the same...no matter who you get! =)

You will develop the bond..don't worry. I think that totally depends on the guy and his interest, willingness and desire to make the bond. If you want it, you will make sure you have it. Hold that baby as much as you can...and he/she will know how much you love him/her. It's that easy. Really, it is. And your wife will love the break.... I promise! :)

My hubby is from England originally.

Quitepainful....I know what you mean. I'm sure it's a function of them knowing they're "safe." It's really ridiculous...

To file a K-3 does the petitioner has to be in the US ??? With no clear answers or accurate processing times I think the best option we are left with is to file for k-3 ... Anyone has more details about this process ??? For what I understand the processing time is about 5-6 months (better than the year estimate that we have for the I-30) that cost more and that in order to complete the whole process (receive the green card) may take longer at the end are basically the cons but, I personally don't care to wait 2 years or pay more for the green card if I'm already in the States, I'm honestly anxious, desperate and willing to do whatever necessary to get out of this country and go back to the States .. I'm starting to feel that I'm no longer stressed out but sinking into depression cray5ol.gif cray5ol.gif cray5ol.gif If anyone knows anything about this K-3 please!! please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HELP !!

I just started researching the k-3 process..As a September filer , I'm starting to think seriously about filing a I-129..I know there's talk of the I-130 process going back to a 6 month or less timeframe, but none of us really know that to be true..We could be in for a long long wait of 12 months or longer before getting our loved one/one's to the good ol US of A.

my #1 priority is getting my wife to the usa ..the conditions really dont matter to me as far as permanent residence status or green card status....we can deal with that once she's here..

Exactly !!! that's what I said let us get there and then have us wait no matter the time but let us get there first!!! please post any info or updates you get and, if anyone else knows something please share, it is insane and depressing to see all those applications getting approvals so soon, makes no sense at all !! somehow if you are only thinking about marriage you get to travel right away but, if you already married so you going no where..... it should be the other way around, filing for a spouse should be priority over a fiancee

I think I remember reading that they send them over in batches of 500. So you could have been number 1 in the batch of 500...

It would cost too much to send them one by one... but for real... you could walk it over faster than they get it there.

LoveMyTico, I really hope that's not the case coz I'm the only I-130 that anyone has seen go to the CSC for a year. Yikes! Hopefully they send batches of 500 overall. Goodness gracious...that is a ridiculous way to do things in this day and age, though. We have scanners....can't someone just authenticate the documents on site and scan them over to the rest of the locations. That is such a backwards way to work in 2013...oye oye oye. I'm sure scanning & sending would also be less labor/cost/overhead. But, maybe that's just too sensible for government-type work...

I hope your NOA2 is coming soon! Thanks for the info. goofy.gif
