Hmm...yeah, guess I should be happy about that. Today is one of those days when I'm missing my hubby like crazy...so nothing feels soon enough... I try not to indulge in those feelings too often, but...some days, it's just harder.

*hugs*

This nightmare will be over soon, hon.. Hang in there. star_smile.gif

Good luck with the NVC call today! let us know how it went :)

If we at least knew for sure that Overland Park is operational already... and we know nothing. Nada. Zero. Dammit.

According to this thread (http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/458573-processing-time-extending/?p=6564194) the Overland Park facility opened on the weekend of 28th September (?) I asked for verification. But if that is true, hopefully they are processing our petitions as we speak, fingers crossed!

I've seen it.

i think dwheels explained somewhere that was just an assumption based on USCIS's self-imposed deadline- "end of the fiscal year".

We've seen no approvals from there as of yet. I've scoured the internet to find something, anything.. to no avail.

So who knows... I am hoping for good news this week!

please correct me if I am analyzing wrong:

1-Given that NBC only do the initial processing and then send the application to the local field offices for approval

2-And given that the Kansas center just opened last week and started processing. (and then they would need to send them to the field offices)

Doesn't this mean that we shouldn't expect any approval from Kansas before at least few weeks? (depending on the field offices)

I do not think Overland Park will be transferring petitions to local offices.

If they do- we're all f'ed.

Local offices are swamped.

See here ( this one is for DC where my case would go if it was transferred) http://dashboard.uscis.gov/index.cfm?formtype=4&office=26&charttype=1

Hi, September filer here.

My/our priority date is September 26.

I have no idea what that means but it sounds good idea9dv.gif ,

I am applying for an IR-1 for my Wife and two stepkids,

Bogota, Colombia is where they live.

We are married four years now, got married here in Wisconsin.

Let's see what gives!

Welcome :)

PDs do not apply to us as CR-1 visas are always current, we do not need to wait for them to become available. They just always are.

We use Priority Date or Notice Date as a starting date of the waiting game for NOA2.

Also, USCIS follows FIFO (first in, first out) so knowing which month is currently being adjudicated sort of helps... guessing :P

Go through this thread to learn more about Overland Park. Is that where your petitions went? did you get your hard copies yet? :)

This nightmare will be over soon, hon.. Hang in there. star_smile.gif

Good luck with the NVC call today! let us know how it went smile.png

Thanks so much, Blueberry! You're such a sweetheart...always! *HUGS*

Unfortunately, still nothing at NVC. I'm going to now call 3 times per week...that's basically what the NVC thread recommends after 2nd week. So, here goes nothing. On the positive side, I was only on hold for 11:30 this time. That's the fastest yet, so I think I found the best time to call. Also the nicest, quickest and most efficient person I've gotten on the phone this time. I'm going to take that as a positive sign and hope that it gets into their system by the end of this week! *crossing my fingers* smile.png

Just saw another 19 day I-129f approval.

#######, #######, #######?!

So hard not to feel angry. I wouldn't if same was happening with spousal visas.

Sigh. Sigh. Sigh...

WOW...that is fast! I wonder why they are so fast and these spousal visas are generally so slow? wacko.png

I bet that anything that had to do with the new fiscal year is probably impacted by the government shutdown...even if they are not funded by the government. Hopefully this thing ends fast so things are all back to "normal..."

Hi everyone, another september filer (and waiter) here! smile.png our pd is sept25 and i just wish we could fast forward the days and months so we get our noa2 soon lol good luck to all of us! smile.png

BOS, what happened? Did someone make a rude remark? I really hate when people are insensitive on here. I've had a few comments myself on this site and I just notice that those people want all the sympathy and understanding on their end, but haven't got any for others. I'm sure you and every one of us has invested so much in making this work and run smoothly....anyone saying otherwise is just ignorant, IMHO.

please correct me if I am analyzing wrong:

1-Given that NBC only do the initial processing and then send the application to the local field offices for approval
