I still haven't received my hardcopy NOA1. This whole process makes me anxious always waiting for the next step. I did call USCIS today and the gentlmen I spoke with said that my case was in initial review whatever that means. I guess its just more waiting.

Haha, I can't sing though! tongue.png

Wow, $140 is a lot! It's 140 PLN in Poland (about $40).

I wonder if it's 140 everywhere, just in different currencies tongue.png

Go through the thread...

We're all at NBC/Overland Park. They might be operational already. They might not. We don't know.

Yay! Fingers crossed, Jen! smile.png

Thanks Blueberry! I have to make call #2 to NVC tomorrow....hoping they received it, but I know reality is that things are slow right now over there. I'm following on the NVC thread. I was spoiled the first time with a quick NOA2, so I'm wanting the rest of it to be AS fast...lol. This government shut down isn't going to help any... How are you holding up?

God, this waiting is just unbearable sometimes... It's been exactly 4 weeks today since our PD . I use my ND/Notice Date as my NOA1 date though. Ugh.

When, when, WHEN will start hearing something from Kansas?!?!?!?!

Cannot wait to start bombarding you with questions about the NVC stage, Jen! :P

I can't wait either, Blueberry! Well...I can't wait to KNOW we're there, in fact! LOL! I am really trying to catch up to speed really quickly about NVC....this happened faster than I had time to do my usual research on the matter..LOL!

I hope you hear something this week! I'm sure this darn government situation isn't helping get things going. I know they say this isn't going to impact our visa processing, but, I'm afraid I just don't really believe that...call me a skeptic.

I know--the wait does seem unbearable. On top of it, my hubby's internet has been down for over 2 weeks. It's KILLING ME! No Skype. I literally haven't even SEEN him for 2 weeks, even on Skype. It's starting to get expensive to talk, even using VoIP....eek!

So...tonight, I baked. Made a baked brie with homemade pastry & a big batch of chocolate chip cookies. That's what I do when things are stressful...I bake. LOL! jest.gif

I will start studying the NVC stage (and gathering docs) once we start seeing approvals from Kansas. For now I only know bits and pieces about this process.. still very confusing :P

Well, we've had a few approvals here after the shutdown and that was a lot more then we had prior to it :P

I hope it will not affect us in any way.

Sorry to hear his Internet is down :( Can it be fixed?

When will you actually see him? like, in person? :)

Hey, whose hubby here was coming to the U.S. to visit in October?

k.dlg?

And where is luvwillprevail? where are you girl?

I can't think of anything you would have to leave him in Egypt... Better to ask in Process and Procedures forum :)

So I tried to search on Google if there were any updates on Overland Park facility...And absolutely nothing. This is beyond frustrating. We should ask around to see if anyone knew someone working at that facility. This is probably the only way we can get additional info at this point it seems like. I am not sure what is the logic behind approving K1 faster than IR/CR1 other that higher fees? Makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever. Moreover, folks who are on H1 visa in US get to bring their spouse the next day which is even more disappointing. crying.gif

I google Overland Park almost every day.

And nothing.

I found something today but... re: I-601 Provisional Waivers, Division 1, at NBC/Kansas.

Nothing on Division 8.

Sigh.

Edit: I also went through other forums, immigrate2us, britishexpats, trackitt and some other ones.

Nada. Zero.
