Why does every step of this process have to suck?

16 hours ago, NVC emailed the AOS and IV invoices along with instructions to my attorney. I'm still getting the "this case is in the process of termination" error message when I try to login to pay.

How do you email an invoice before it is ready to be paid?

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

I've just paid the AOS and IV fees! It took 20 hours after receiving the invoices by email to be able to login to the payment portal.

Nvc recived my case on april 18, do I have to wait more?

Right now it's taking just about a month for NVC to assign a case number... then I think it's another week to make DS-261 available and invoice AOS fees.

So you've probably got a case number assigned but you'll still need to wait a few more days before you can do anything.

Right now it's taking just about a month for NVC to assign a case number... then I think it's another week to make DS-261 available and invoice AOS fees.

So you've probably got a case number assigned but you'll still need to wait a few more days before you can do anything.

Fees are now showing "PAID" in the portal... I guess it's time to tackle that DS-260 and send in the supporting evidence. This is mildly paralyzing. What's the general advice with the DS-260? Is it better attacked with alcohol or caffeine?

We received our case number, AOS bill and DS261 from NVC via email yesterday:

NOA2: 31st March 2014

NVC Case No: 19th May 2014

FYI: We never phoned the NVC to chase so that is probably why the AOS fee and DS261 were immediately available to us, ie we didn't get our case number the day it was assigned.

Now for all the paper work!!

Hope everyone is clinging on in Septemberland.

Do you know when cases usually get approved after NSC gets the response to a RFE?

When did NSC receive the response to your RFE?

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!
