Hey hi all.... do we get email notification that NVC has received our case or do we have to find out only by calling them? whenever i call them the call is busy,i cant get through...Does NVC have their offical site like USCIS?? If yes can somebody please tell me whats the site ??

You have to call them at 6033340700 and find out if they received your file or not. Yes the line is usually busy and you would have to keep trying until you get through and then press 1, you will then have to wait for good 20-30 minutes (depending upon your luck) to speak with an agent.

I called the NVC and finally got a hold of them, they didnt receive our case and they said it takes 3-4 weeks for them to receive it..IS this true???Its surprising to me as everyone's case was received in 2 weeks or little over 2 weeks....Our case was shipped on 4/17/2014....

Woooohoooo! Got 2 emails today from NVC! One was directed towards my wife (sponsor) stating the petition she filed for me is ready for processing at the NVC along with a case number and instructions on how to pay the AOS fee which we did right away. The other one was directed to me which included my case number, invoice id number, and beneficiary id number. It explained how I will need to fill out the form DS-261 online. I guess I should be putting this in the NVC forum. Anyone else get emails like this yet from NVC? Best of luck to all!

Did you call at all? I am just curious because I will be calling from Eastern Europe and would much rather communicate via email. That is so great for you!!! Good luck on a smooth and quick NVC process.

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!

I've been checking on those timelines a few times a week. jondoe & astrogirl have not logged in for a while, so I'm assuming that means no news :/

Juan Bravo, Joe&Vlad - any luck with service requests? You're both well past due and deserve some answers (preferably in an approval)!

On 05/01/2014, after you inquired about your I130, USCIS approved your case and sent you an approval notice using the most recent address we have on file. The original notice should arrive within 30 days.
