Ah ok, gotcha! Well I put our numbers into the portal and it didn't say anything like that. Good luck with getting hold of them again

Thanks! Just got off the phone now. Got a nice guy this time. He gave me the IIN and the Beneficiary ID. I have no idea what the latter is for, but since he offered, I was more than happy to take it down.

Now time to enter this info into the system and see what happens.

So, looks like the representative wasn't lying. I got a message that looks terrifying-ish, but with proper foreknowledge of the situation isn't so concerning (see attached image).

I guess I'll have to wait for further instructions.

I got the same message for my case number and IIN. Just have to wait and see what they email or keep checking online until that choice of Agent from is ready for fill out.

Congratulations. The first part of your journey is over. Now come on over to the NVC Filers - April 2014 thread. This message is normal. In a few days you will be able to log in and fill in the DS-261 and pay the AOS fee.

Please read the NVC Guide, too. It is chalk full with very useful information that will help you in the NVC part of the journey. BTW do not forget to thank MS Saylin.

Well, we woke up this morning to an email from USCIS, saying we are.....APPROVED!!!! FINALLY! bdrew, our NOA2 date is 4/17. :) Good luck to everyone else here waiting, especially those who were waiting there with us at the Nebraska Service Center. I know all of you have an approval coming soon!!!

Hello everyone.

I've enjoyed a brief vacation from this immigration process! It's been 4 weeks since NOA2 so it's time to start working on the affidavit of support...

A popular advice on VJ is to leave nothing blank on the I864 and enter "N/A" instead. I'm tempted to ignore this advice and go with the form instructions which state to leave these spaces blank. What are people's thoughts on this?

The current individual annual income on part 6 line 5 of the I864 is a bit tricky: Should this be inclusive or exclusive of any 401k deferral contributions? I ask because the "total income" figures on line 13 are exclusive of 401k contributions and therefore lower than my actual individual income for those years.

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Are you receiving disbursements of your 401K? If not, I don't think you need to list it..... I do recommend asking this question in that thread, as the people active in there are at various stages of NVC and may have an answer for you. Saylin still responds to questions when she logs in if she sees it hasn't been answered. If the difference is not going to make-or-break whether or not you meet the income guidelines I don't think it makes a difference, but I suggest asking in that thread as this process is still fresh for those of us in here who recently got approved :)

Someone else had a question about Part 6 Line 5 specifically I believe.... but I think it might have been about whether to include property assets.
