I agree 100%. This process they have needs to be updated to completely electronic. that way they wouldn't have to worry about misplacing any files or marking boxes # of #. They could scan everything in an be done with it...:idea::idea:

I think they need to get a woman in running this show….

Most of us have service requests in and STILL waiting.lol and info pass dates as well!!!

Speaking of "info pass appointment" has anyone actually gone to one or had any success with one? I have one coming up and just wondering if it's worth taking the day off or will it be the same ole mumbo jumbo we hear when we call?!?!

*** it shall be done in Gods time, not mans time ***

the thing that irritates me the most is, those spouses that are already in the USA with their US citizen spouses, there paperwork is happening within 5 months. All of it. I know three couples like that, who applied after I did and already have their cases adjusted. I understand that we are outside the country but we are away from our loved ones and it takes longer for them to process our I-130's over the ones that are already in the country. YOu would think family re-unification priority would take over for spouses that are further away. Oh well. Such is life!!! :ranting: Just me ranting!!! LOL!!

Believe me, I am with you!! almost 6 months for me and still no nao2 foolishness!!

Did you send originals? If so, no.

Unless you mean NVC, in which case, no. But that's because they send the packet to the Embassy and you get your originals back at interview.

When I sent the packet for I130 to USCIS I sent originals AND copies of everything. So really they got everything twice! I mailed my packet before finding visa journey - so I went overboard to make sure I got it all right by sending originals of EVERYTHING as well as copies of it (my packet was pretty hefty)! I was just wondering if I was gonna get my packet back of all the originals I had sent to USCIS with the I130 packet and/or copies before my hubby has his interview. My stupid butt made a second packet of everything in the USCIS packet (but all copies) but then I went and sent it the next month as K3 packet instead of saving it. I had a list written down of all the stuff I sent - which unfortunately is on my other laptop, which committed laptop suicide over the holidays. If for some reason I have to make another packet or something I'm gonna have to wing it since I don't remember half the stuff I sent!

Plus - I really want my stuff back. ):

Unfortunately, USCIS will not send originals back (on the instructions it states not to send originals, but that's a moot point now).

What you'll need for NVC are originals. Marriage certificate (plus photocopy), beneficiary's birth certificate (plus photocopy), police certificate (I think you should keep a copy to take with you to the medical.

If you're not already on NVC thread, I do recommend it. I highly recommend going through the links on Saylin's hread most of all. It has all the updated NVC information on there.

*On 08/01/14 I received a checklist via email and responded right away. Over a month later, on 09/09/14, I received the hard-copy in the mail. Upon reading the hard-copy, I found that NVC made a mistake and emailed me the wrong checklist. I contacted a supervisor at NVC and she instructed me to write a letter of explanation to accompany my "real" checklist response. She also told me this may not help me and that we may be back in line. Lord help us!
