My case status changed from RFE Response Review back to Initial Review, and it also says our address was changed today, even though I didn't change it (neither did my hubby)... Anyone know what to think of this?

That's weird... I wonder if the rep hit the wrong button on your case! It will be interesting to see if it changes from Initial Review to Approve soon!

It's another relatively long wait until NVC case number (not as blindly painful as I130 though), what's relieving is NVC process goes quickly once it gets case number.

Do you receive your NVC number via email or through the mail system?? I currently live aboard so I hope I will receive an email instead of waiting for a hard copy letter...

I've already started calling NVC to find out if I have been assigned a case number but something is wrong with their line and I cannot get through. Is anyone else experiencing this?

I recommend reading this wiki first: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

the NVC number is frequently busy, and it's best to call at off-peak times (between 6-10am EST or 10pm-midnight EST). It takes NVC about a week and a half to receive your petition and after that it's taking 30 days to get a case number.
