They absolutely refused to make a service request for me. That was the 2nd time calling a Tier 2 and this time I even spoke to the supervisor of the Tier 2 rep and they still would not do anything. They told me I had to wait the 60 days from the transfer date like it said on my hard copy transfer notice. ANNOYING!

I would say keep calling. CS Rep should be able to open a SR for you too. You don't necessarily need to speak to Tier 2 to open a SR.

Thanks my friend

Were you in the US when your spouse filed the I-130? You mentioned in a previous post that you're currently in the US, were you just here visiting or have you been here the entire time the I-130 has been processed?

Wow really- that is annoying! I am still going to try if I don't hear this week. I have basically lost a lot of patience after passing the 6 month mark of waiting! If I'm not mistaken, there have been other people from September who filed a service request- is it just your luck of who you talk to?

Yes iam in US now i came her with B2 visa in sept. 06, 2011.

When does your B2 expire? Has it already expired? Have you ever adjusted your status?

Your path is very different from everyone else's here. I believe nearly everyone else on this thread filed a 'stand alone' I-130. Are you working with an attorney? If not, it might be best to look into one as your case is not straight forward....

Feeling like I am the only one on this September thread who has not gotten my approval yet! UGGGGGHHHHH.

I am so happy for everyone who has gotten approved. Its annoying to see that November filers are now getting approvals

Why did you file a standalone I-130 and didn't do concurrent filing? (I-130+ I-485 and I-131)

I-485 is an adjustment of status form..

This forum here is for CR-1 visas. I doubt anyone here has enough experience or knowledge to help you.. Ask here though: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/130-adjustment-of-status-from-work-student-tourist-visas/

Good luck :)

Honestly, I don't think so. :( It's really frustrating and I think we will just wait. The 60 days that they said we had to wait will be over in just under a month so I guess we will just wait and see...

Hello friends,

Its now 8 days after my approval ... and wanted to call NVC so see if my case arrived and if I can get my case number and IIN... but the 603-334-0700 number has been busy for some time today ... Is the call volume that high that you cant even get an automated message  lol. Not sure if its down or what, but want to do as much as I can, and be diligent as mentioned in the NVC guide. So wanted to see if that's still the right call info, I did e-mail NVC as well see what happens with that. Best of luck to all.

The line is always that busy. It's best to call at off-peak hours (6-10am EST and 10pm-12am EST). Call back later this week and they should have your case. Right now it's taking about 28 days from the day NVC receives your case to issue a case #. You just have to keep calling. :-)
