Overland Park isn't operational yet. They're scheduled to open hopefully this Monday or Tuesday.

Nobody really knows much about the new facility yet, unfortunately, Singh. Hopefully it will be good luck for all of you who were routed there! dancin5hr.gif (My happy dance for good luck!)

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

Hello Everyone,

We also filed our I-130 Petition in September aswell.

10th Aug 2013 - Engaged

12th Aug 2013 - Married

10th Sept 2013 - Documents Sent to Phoenix, AZ Lockbox through USPS

11th Sept 2013 - Delivered

13th Sept 2013 - NOA1 Received via SMS

16th Sept 2013 - Case was last updated on 16th Sept Case Status: Initial Review

23rd Sept 2013 - NOA1 hardcopy received

As of 28th Sept - As per USCIS website Case Status: Initial Review

Welcome, Singhz! :)

Hello my VJ friends

I'm also a September filer. Now I'm also playing the waiting game that nobody want to play.

I don't know what I would have done if I haven't found VJ.

Hope everybody's journey will be smooth.

And welcome to you too, MI :)

Hello Everyone,

I've just received the scanned copy of NOA1 and I guess it has been sent from NBC Overland Park, Kansas because it has the Overland park, Kansas address in the bottom left corner. I don't know how their processing times are. Hope everything goes smooth and fast.

As others have already stated, this facility is not fully operational yet. We're hoping this week is the week.

Everything that is known about Overland Park may be found in this thread.

Thanks for replying r060106. I hope they are not over loaded with I-130 petitions. Anyways what is the location of your NOA1?

All petitions filed from May have been being routed to Overland Park, KS.

There were a few exceptions though... Our Jenmatt being one of them :) Her case went to CSC and was approved after 2 weeks.

I think it's safe to assume Overland Park is sitting on about a 100,000 petitions already.

Nobody really knows much about the new facility yet, unfortunately, Singh. Hopefully it will be good luck for all of you who were routed there! dancin5hr.gif (My happy dance for good luck!)

Keep dancing for us, Jen! :D

Welcome, mike t :)

Not sure if you can do that... I'd just reset it to a new timeline, and create a signature with you K-1 timeline.

What does your NOA1 hard copy say? check at the bottom of the page. It probably says Overland Park, KS, right?

They are not fully operational yet.

Hi to all September filers! We sent our I-130 to Chicago lockbox on 15th, and received NOA1 on 18th. We have already received a letter from USCIS in the mail as well...

According to the website, our file was last touched on 23rd, and we cannot tell if it is a good thing or not... It could only mean NBC just received our file and cashed our check...

I've been researching a lot lately to see how long it may actually take to get NOA2, but it really is not looking good...

We are all in the same boat wishing miracle to happen for quick approval I guess... Please share any information regarding your process updates... I'm really not good at waiting, and this is already driving me crazy!!

Thanks!

Hi Skydreamer :)

I don't know what that "touch" meant.. Mine was last updated on the 10th, so who knows? Maybe they are actually working already!?

CAUSE THIS CENTER IS NOT OPERATIONAL YET.

So, you won't find any processing times for Overland Park, KS. Yet.

Maybe this week things will change. And they will finally open. Oh please dear Lord, make it happen!

Slightly random question.idea9dv.gif

I've read that if you as the USC apply from abroad your case isn't transferred to a local office and stays with NBC for the entirety of your I-130 processing.

Is this true? If so is anyone in the same boat? We still haven't received our NOA1 paper copy (got an electronic notice) and noticed that there is no local office (Missouri/KS) listed on the USCIS website when we check out case status.

Perhaps this is why?

Gosh, so. many. questions.

Well, yes- cases filed from abroad go to NBC/Missouri.

We are (most likely you are too) at NBC/Kansas. (both centers have the same MSC code)

Cases are no longer sent to local offices. The new facility in Kansas will be adjudicating them.

We just have to wai for them to open.

Btw, NBCs Missouri and Kansas are not local field offices. They are National Benefits Centers.

There are also service centers, California (CSC), Texas (TSC), Vermont (VSC) .. but these no longer process I-130s. (They used to, up until August of last year when they started transferring I-130 petitions to local offices).

So, that's how it goes now: Chicago/Phoenix Lockbox-> NBC/Kansas.
