I am basically "living" here in Mexico on a tourist visa, not working here nor in the U.S. I don't see why I would need to file taxes. Sorry for being so difficult!

USCIS

9/23/2013: Sent I-130 petition to Chicago Lockbox through UPS
9/25/2013: I-130 delivered by UPS (Priority Date)

9/26/2013: NOA1

3/04/2014: Transferred to NSC

4/17/2014: NOA2

4/23/2014: Case shipped to NVC

NVC

5/05/2014: Case arrived at NVC

5/29/2014: Case number and IIN received

6/06/2014: DS-261 available and completed

6/09/2014: AOS fee invoiced and paid

6/10/2014: AOS fee shows as "paid"

6/16/2014: Date NVC is going by for DS-261 because I "re-opened" it

6/24/2014: AOS package sent

7/02/2014: AOS package scanned in

8/14/2014: AOS package approved (false checklist email for DS-261)
8/19/2014: DS-261 accepted

8/21/2014: IV fee invoiced and paid

8/22/2014: DS-260 available

8/25/2014: DS-260 submitted

zs1, sairam8451, and Aussie123 - Have you guys not been approved yet nor have you received an RFE? I see that you were all transferred to the NSC and it has been 35/36 days since your transfer.

CSC received our RFE reply yesterday 04/01/2013.

Thank you for the Guide! ... I've been studying it lol, didn't know it was out there ... so much to prep on!! ... the Tax part was a wake up and caught a mistake ... I was filed as single for 2013 Taxes... So I have time now to go back and correct it to send a amended Tax return when the time comes. ... the within article links are awesome ... recommend everyone give it at least a first read and create a check off sheet as I did lol ... basically copy and pasted everything I didn't want to forget and with underling and highlighter after printed its the go to sheet now! :yes:

I receive a RFE yesterday and I am waiting for the letter to know exactly what thy need.

"On April 2, 2014, we mailed a notice requesting additional evidence or information in this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the requested information. This case will be in suspense until we receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once we receive the requested evidence or information and make a decision on the case, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

My timeline has been update and I am hoping what they want is easy enough.

Have you (or your wife) contacted USCIS? You should have received the written notice by now. You only have 84 days to respond to their RFE, I highly recommend contacting them ASAP.
