:D

Hi all,

Quick update on our RFE. My wife needs to submit an official stamped copy of her divorce decree. She applied to the court house in Salem, Oregon where the decree was issued and was told that because it was so long ago the record is in the archives. She paid $87 and was then told it would take 37 days to be delivered. She's now employed an attorney to collect the decree in person from the court house when it's ready and overnight it to her so she can send it on to USCIS. Nothing's ever simple with this process :clock:

It doesn't help that I'm a fellow gooner as well so there's not a lot to cheer me up there. Never mind - there's still the FA Cup! :dancing: I was hoping I'd be cheering for England in the World Cup in the US wearing my finest Jack Wilshire shirt and totally confusing the locals...maybe next time :D

What's with the weird numbers? LOL USCIS gives people 84 days to respond, he decree takes 37 days to deliver... Oye

Good move on getting the overnight - hopefully you get a quick approval once they get what they need!

Another Gooner?! I love it! I'm renaming this the Arsenal thread hahaha By the way, I grew up in Tampa - too bad I'm not there anymore, there'd be another Gooner there :D My husband says Arsenal has the FA Cup in hand! Premier League... welll...... anyhoo!

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

As I know they will assign a case number in 30 days period of time. It would be good if you get early.

I had to call to find out when NVC received the case. Some people are getting a notification from USCIS that the case is shipped, but not everyone. I still think everyone should call NVC to see when NVC receives it

I still think it's a good idea to start calling NVC in about a week or so to verify they have it. It's taking them roughly 25 business days (according to VJ members' self-reporting) to issue a case #.

Congrats, you're done with USCIS for now!

Yeah. Hopefully we won't have to deal with them again until ROC.

A Steelers fan in Minnesota? #######? If that's not a reason for an RFE I don't know what is! :)

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

I doubt you would receive your NVC case number in order of receipt.

There's a few lucky cases with immediate case # but for many it takes quite a while, and I've found trend is more random than NOA2.

No I haven't yet , I have been studying some cases in NVC thread, that's what I observed that they are random.

You can find the August spreadsheet on Deep's signature. He's pretty active on this thread, but you can find him in the August and NVC thread, too. In Saylin's signature, you can find the NVC spreadsheet, too.
