another september filer here -- we submitted to the chicago lockbox and the petition was forwarded to the NBC.

Welcome grayfer!

We received our official I-797C NOA in receipt of our I-130 submission. It came from KS, so I guess we just sit and wait and see how long it takes them to get themselves together now huh!

Congrats urbankgirluk!!

Hello all,

Wanted to wish the fellow September filers the best of luck. I also received my NOA1 from the Kansas address.

Hi agbcha - welcome and good luck to you! Congrats on NOA1! :)

Hello everyone, first good luck for all of us, hope for the best for each one of you smile.png !!

My case so far,

Sept 03 Filed I-30 Chicago Lockbox

Sept 23 NOA1 (Confirmation of I-30 received and in process)

seems like there is not much else to do but wait ..... thanks for all the updates to see some of you moving forward gives others hope.

All the best for all September Filers !!!

Congrats on NOA1, Adricas! =)

Yep! Mine came on a VWP, we got married, went on honeymoon, and then he went back to the UK ... and here we are waiting. Sigh.

He'll be here to visit in ONE week though!! biggrin.png

That's how we did it, too, k.dig! VWP, married and he went back home...ugh! The worst part is the going back...

WOW!! Congratulations!! smile.png I hope all of us are as forunate!

THANK YOU! =) Yes, I hope so too! GOOD LUCK!

Yeah ... seeing some light on actual numbers didn't help how I feel about this process, but at least I know what I'm working with rather than guessing. Wonder what those numbers look like now in September. Worse or better, who knows.

Oh geez .. total completions from all USCIS locations vs pending ... shield your eyes. 168,258 Completed. 1,062,526 Pending. mellow.png

I bet that includes all USCIS pending cases though, from all kinds of programs. Not just spousal. =)

Yeah and the fiscal year's end is October 1st. Wonder if this whole "goverment shutdown" furloughs and what not would affect USCIS since they are not federally funded (though it would seem they would take any excuse to not do their jobs). I don't think it'll happen anyway because the last time it did was 1996 and the Senate have apparently already approved actions towards preventing a shutdown. - I've been hearing about this stuff non-stop at work.

I thought of that, too. I didn't realize they're not federally funded until you said that...but you're right. They only receive 1% of their funding from the Feds. I reckon they'd keep going if the government shut down...but would just slow down by a bit because of that 1%....

NEWS UPDATE for me! Today, the NOA2 arrived by MAIL! I am just so excited. I guess next step is now NVC. I will start calling on Monday for my ID#'s!!! Can't believe it and really hoping this goes fast and he will be processed by Christmas! HOPING!

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

Hi all ,

Ok dumb question.

Does NOA stand for Notice of Acceptance, because if it odes we recieved an email from USCIC notifying us of this..copied part of email

Your case has been accepted and routed to the USCIS National Benefits Center for processing. Within 7-10 days by standard mail you will receive your official Receipt Notice (Form I-797) with your Receipt Number

Email does have Receipt incuded, but when I tried to log inot USCIS ,my anti virus programme threw a fit ,which has never happened before( warning of fraudlent site ,etc).Maybe my old computer is sick of this whole business too -haha. Its the same url I have always used ,so I suspect its my PC.

Just that I have seen people mention something about recieving a hard copy, and was curious what that might be.

So hard being apart isnt it , just frustrating.time zones ,emotionally draining. I stay cheerful and positive for my hubby but it get so sad......

Not a dumb question at all. I asked the same one a few weeks ago on here! That is your NOA1. Then you will receive a NOA2 when they approve your petition. You can expect a week or so before the actual notice arrives at the house (if you are in the US, or longer if you're in NZ.) Congrats on your NOA1!

Hi Eaglekiwi....I'm glad I could help! goofy.gif

Wow, his text and email really arrive a long time apart. How strange! Mine always arrived within a few hours of each other.

Yikes, you guys are far apart, too! My hubby is in Europe right now and I'm in California. We're really hoping this last step goes well and fast. We got NOA2 by mail today. So excited! dancin5hr.gif

Ha. Weird. You should be receiving your hard copy soon, guys.

Do check where it came from! At the bottom of the page you will find this information. Your case is most likely in Kansas.

Some K-1 filer just got approved after 17 days. (VSC). Made my blood boil, to be honest. The unfairness of it...

I know Jen was approved super fast too (still jealous girl! Whole VJ is :P ), but the situation with K-1 super speedy approvals... it is just so not fair.

Have a great weekend, people! Next week might be the week! and we might start seeing approvals from Kansas :)

Umm, yes, it is :) I'd say it's super unusual..

I've read of speedy I-130/CR-1 approvals but they were 45 day'ers :P (that was after NBC/Missouri opened)

Happy weekend to you too, girl! :)

Yeah, me too... but one is an exception, two is a coincidence, three is a trend.

I've heard of at least three, so...

Oh well. It is what it is.

There have been three 130's approved quickly????

Well, yes, but those were I-130/F2A (legal permanent resident filing for a spouse).

Yours was the only I-130/CR-1 approved so fast :)

The Permanent Resident thing is going to stop after September, from what I read....so that's temporary. Unfortunately for them.

OK, I hope I'm starting a trend! goofy.gif

Aren't most of the K-1 processed at the service centers and not at the NBC? I really don't understand why the government is processing them faster than I-130s, which are for spouses. Makes no sense to me and upsets me greatly as well. Ugh.

What do you mean going to stop? Can you give me a link? You probably mentioned it earlier but I just don't remember.
