I was approved on 3/13 and NVC received my case on 3/25. I recommend waiting at least a week before you start calling. Also, from what 2 NVC agents have told me, if you gave USCIS your e-mail address you will be notified by NVC via e-mail when a case number is assigned.

I'm still going to call though lol

5/21/2016: Mailed I-751 packet to CSC

5/23/2016: NOA1

7/29/2016: Biometrics Appointment

11/22/2016: I-751 Approved!

so if you applied for e-mail notification from USCIS, you also get update from NVC? if that's true it would be very handy, to be honest making petitioners keep calling to check the status sounds very much like a big waste of time.

Is there anyone who's got e-mail notification on case # from NVC recently?

IR1 applied from overseas

NOA1: 18 Sep 13 (NBC)

NOA2: 19 Mar 14 (CSC)

NVC received: 21 Mar 14

NVC case # assigned: 22 Apr 14

NVC case complete: 11 Aug 14

Interview: 2 Sep 14 (Japan)

That's the right number. I never get through on the first try (it's almost always busy). It's best to call during off-peak hours, generally between 7-10am EST and between 10pm-midnight EST.

One person from August received her case number via e-mail. I was just chatting with others who have been approved before us and they all say it's a ####### shoot waiting for an e-mail from NVC. It's best to call, folks!

It'd be nice if they were on it with issuing case number e-mails, but I'm tired of this waiting game to be with my husband. NVC is about to get to know me :-)

I've not run into that issue... Are you calling from a landline? Does the landline have long distance service (aas the NVC number isn't toll free)?

I don't know how quickly a mailed inquiry will get a response so I can't say either way about that.

Wait a week after NOA2 date and give them a call. State your USCIS case number and simply ask if they have received your case from TSC. If they haven't, keep calling 2-3 times a week till they have.

Otherwise you can call USCIS and specifically ask for a Tier 2 and enquire about the date your case was physically shipped to NVC.

From reading NVC thread, TSC files are received within 2-3 weeks from NOA2. It could be faster now. Your best bet, is to look at Saylin's spreadsheet and focus on TSC filers approved in the last 2 months, and see how long they waitied from NOA2 to NVC case received to get an approx timeline.

I would still call NVC next week to make sure they received it. I'll update the sheet with he date NVC receives it :-) Not everyone is getting those notifications from USCIS (I'm thinking that might be another glitch).
