I don't think that's the case because it's only happeninng at NSC... and they seem to favor one service center over another on transfer days.

Unless anyone in here who has received the ARN notice can attest they're naturalized USCs....?

I think bdrew is right? we also got citizenship thru naturalisation and we had a change in ARN??

We actually called USCIS and they said we needed to submit a notarized copy of our Marriage Certificate, which I would've never been able to guess based on the RFE letter.

The Greek example is more or less what I had thought of, when I read the letter, and that's what confused me, because in Estonia it gets automatically registered. What I call a courthouse wedding (which is what we did) takes place on the second floor of the Vital Statistics Office and after the ceremony is over, the document gets taken downstairs where all the information is and gets put in the system (that part we didn't have to worry about, like I said, it gets automatically registered). We even went back later and got a certified extract from the records in English, to prove we were married there.

You are right, in no way would you understand that they required the copy to be notarized..blink.png

Glad you worked it out!

Best present for our anniversary!

Congrats :D

Just got finally the message we been waiting for, I just got approved today 3/21/14 for my I-130.

Unbelievable. We are just been approved at 10.00 pm from TSC. approved 21 March. PD 20th September.

My husband and I were Skyping when he screamed and went pale. We all ended up crying. I just want to hear that all our VJ friends are getting approvals

Now off to NVC

Got ARN notice today. And Alhamdulilah got approved. Sending positive vibes to everyone.

Well that's USCIS for you.... Why make it easy if you can make it complicated.

Now I have to get a notarized copy of our marriage certificate and snail mail it to my husband because he has the RFE paper that needs to be included with the letter... This is seriously slowing down an already impossibly slow process.

Thanks for your help though :)
