THANK YOU! heart.gif You DID tell me this would happen!!! Are you a Psychic, Blueberry!?!?! goofy.gif

I need to figure out what the timeframe is from this point to him getting here. Is it too hopeful to think Christmas???

I know....let's MOVE IT, KANSAS! Keep up with CALIFORNIA!!!!! rofl.gif

By the way...on the phone, the guy asked me what I was...I said I was the applicant slash petitioner. I guess applicant is when you use a lawyer or something, huh? So I called myself both. LOL! I was so worried they had me down as a permanent resident instead of a citizen....can't believe what a change a few hours has brought!!!

It depends how long it will take them now to get out your file to NVC.

Pretty sure K-1ers have been complaining about CSC being slow with this.

Start gathering all your documents! So you can fly through NVC!

Go and read NVC September thread.

Oh, Jen, that's so awesome! :)

How's your Klondike ? Must be super delicious tonight! :D

Nah, not a psychic. Just told you what realistically could happen based on what's been going on at CSC :)

You are a petitioner no matter what.

Your husband will be an applicant at NVC stage, cause that's when he actually applies for a visa. I think.

I don't think I've heard him sounding SO happy since he went back there in the beginning of September! I couldn't see him, obviously, because it was phone, not skype, but, I could HEAR the smile on his lips! I think he is also astonished. But, he was really so sweet and had such nice things to say to me about how I organized the paperwork, etc. By the way...we also solved the mystery--turns out, I did not forget those passport photos I thought I had forgotten. They were included! I only have the two extras that we had purchased in my file. So, I DID turn in a 100% complete package. YAY!

He's super excited and ready to start getting his police clearances so they're ready for the NVC stage! star_smile.gif

OK...i'd like to second that psychic idea of yours, Blueberry! I hope those calculations are bang on! kicking.gifkicking.gifkicking.gif

I don't know how I'm going to sleep tonight. Drinking some chamomile tea to calm myself down....this is REALLY going to happen! YAY! I need to try to find the NVC September thread that you mentioned....I have spent all my time practically in this thread, so I don't know how to find others! jest.gif

Thank you! I was just looking at ALL they have posted there. I think I should read that earlier in the day, not at 23:30! LOL!!! Gosh, there's a lot to process, but the movement looks pretty fast, even at 3-4 weeks. I will take it!!!

Haha...chamomile tea is safer than wine....I think wine might just give me the giggles and keep me up longer tonight! I don't know how I'm going to settle down. sleepy.gif

Thanks Luv! I don't understand either. But hopefully everyone gets theirs super fast!!! goofy.gif

Ok...I will now TRY to sleep. I do have to work tomorrow. Got to keep this job now, for sure...haha! I have to prove I can support him. LOL! This is the funniest thing ever since he makes way more than me in Europe....but you know, these are the hoops we jump through!

So we as USC's and September filers have no clue on the timeline involved..We could be in for a mega wait or there's a chance we might get apporved in short order...Talk about unsettling..Typical bullcrap when dealing with our government

Goodnight... Sweet dreams, girl smile.png

Blueberry, I had the BEST sleep I've had in a while...woke up happy and ready to call the IRS this morning to request my transcripts for next steps at NVC! Can't believe I'm doing that now. I was holding off because I didn't want them out of date before needed. goofy.gif

So you got married in vegas? did he come and visit you on a tourist visa and go home ? i came and got married in egypt because was told it would be easier and faster now i am thinking i did it the wrong way and being here in egypt when i filed also i think wasnt good for me because i had to file at chicago lockbox sad.png im thinking if i would have been at home in california maybe i wouldnt have to wait for so so..Phoenix must have their stuff together..Now i am trying to get our petition expedited on humanitariun grounds to hopefully make this process faster. by the way where did your petition go after it went from phoenix i figured mine would go to california since that is where i am from but no it went to the national benefit center sad.png

Luv, yes...he came here and we got married in Vegas. We didn't mind where we got married, but, Vegas is, as you know, if you're from CA, THE EASIEST place to do it without any pre-planning. Since we weren't allowed to pre-plan...we didn't. We just went to Vegas, where you get your license in 5 minutes, get married in 10 and were married and had a little vacation at the same time! Actually, we were originally going to go the K-1 route, but were advised by a lawyer that doing it this way was faster a lot of times, especially since hubby didn't want to be here unable to work for a year while they processed everything. This way, we got married, started the process and he got to keep his job and maintain income. He has a good job there, so it wasn't worth losing a year's salary in our situation...I know everyone is different though. Maybe it's good that you are there with your husband, but, I do hope you get yours expedited on humanitarian grounds. Are you a CA resident? If you are, have you contacted Senators Boxer or Feinstein about your situation? If you haven't, I would....especially with the situation where you are right now....just an idea. Yes--Phoenix was good! California also has been good, too, so far. I wonder why you got sent to NBC and I got CA....

I'm starting to second guess whether I did it the wrong way too. But it's tough when your spouse is from a country that's non-VWP and can't just come over to see you. sad.png

r060106, it is harder if your spouse is from a non-VWP country! crying.gif I really feel for you, especially with your wife preggo. I really think you might want to make a request to see if they will expedite...and maybe your situation is also worth a note to your local Senator....not sure where you are...but maybe worth it. You may want to wait a month or two more...and then write. Maybe you'll get a quick NOA2, too! Did you state anywhere in your application docs about your wife's pregnancy?

So we as USC's and September filers have no clue on the timeline involved..We could be in for a mega wait or there's a chance we might get apporved in short order...Talk about unsettling..Typical bullcrap when dealing with our government

Myguita, according to what they told me on the phone, they just don't have a timeline for USC's in California. The other centers do have timelines posted online.

Maybe not for you one of the 2 approvals I saw that was approved within a month was from Manila, Philippines DCF.. Good luck i think its because it is DCF and Philippines is apart of the VWP and so is the Netherlands

Luv, I do wonder if where the spouse is living makes a difference. It crossed my mind. But, I'm sure there's no way to prove it either way...just something I wonder...

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

r060106, it is harder if your spouse is from a non-VWP country! crying.gif I really feel for you, especially with your wife preggo. They don't do expedite requests because of a pregnancy, unfortunately. I already checked. :( I won't contact my Senator until it gets past 5 or 6 months. I'm hoping I get a quick NOA2, but like I said earlier, I doubt it will happen. No, I did not state that she was pregnant because I didn't want them to think we got pregnant just to get her a green card or something.
