Congratulations on your approval. When you get your transfer notice hard copy, let us know which service center your petition was transferred to.

Will do. Im flying back to Florida from the UK on Tuesday so hopefully the letter will be there when I arrive, or soon after.

I dont have the letter yet :) See the post above yours. im in the UK now and flying back to America on Tuesday, so Im hoping the letter will be there waiting for me (although I doubt it). No idea where I was transferred to...the email just said the application had been approved, but nothing else.

Morning guys - I seem to have been approved too, although I have to be honest, I dont understand what this means in reality. I thought the two or three emails I received from USCIS several days ago, to tell me the case had been transferred (supposedly to Lees Summit) meant that USCIS had approved the I-130... so Im not sure I understand the meaning or purpose of the emails I received at around 2am today:

Application Type: I130 , IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

Your Case Status: Post Decision Activity

On March 7, 2014, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

The first batch of emails you received meant that your case had been transferred from NBC to one of the Service Centres now processing applications, that wasn't your approval, however, you seem to be like us, we got transferred on Tuesday to California (hubby called to check) and we were approved yesterday.

Honestly, its all so confusing. Im sure they could have made the process easier than this. Since that first email from them a few days ago, I've had 9 emails, all with slightly different info. I wish they'd just pull their fingers out and get on with it already :D

That cracked me up! I am contemplating filing an expedite request with that sentence and nothing but that sentence for a reason. :)

I'm the USC petitioner. My wife is British (now a USC!!!), generally awesome, and amazingly patient.

Well dont quote me because they'll send me to jail for treason or something :D 50 years hard labour at Idaho State Penitentiary or somewhere, stitching mail bags together and hiding from the guy they call Big Daddy.

AJMUK, we're all irritated with this process and you captured the sentiment we're all feeling perfectly! I kind of want to put that in a frame!!

Someone got approved today after a 309 day wait. People get approved 3 days after transfer and people are getting skipped over for seemingly no reason. The process/approval system is completely ridiculous.

I am thrilled for our recent approvals & happy your journeys are halfway through! I can't wait until we all cross the finish line!!

Well its just a crazy process, in my humble opinion. Way too much red tape, way too much nonsense, and its because of all that red tape and nonsense that we all have to wait 704 years just to get some sort of news that someone may or may not have accidentally touched our file while they were on their way to the canteen, which then triggers off about 206 emails, all virtually identical apart from one or two minor differences.

"your file has been sent somewhere but we wont tell you where because its a big secret".

"your file has been sent somewhere, but we're not sure where. Please wait 30 days until we start to try to maybe figure it out".

"your file has been sent to lees summit, even though WE are in lees summit, so really, we havent sent it anywhere. we just felt like sending you yet another email"

"your file has been sent somewhere, so why not give us a call to find out where? our tier 1 agents are standing by to give you absolutely no information whatsoever, but rest assured that as soon as you ask for a tier 2, the line will go dead"

As of right now, I literally have no idea where my application stands.

I sent in my I-130, it seems to have taken someone 5 months to accidentally brush past it, which triggered off those aforementioned 206 emails, and they gave it a cursory glance (because having accidentally brushed past it, they couldnt really ignore it, because any time they brush past it, an automated email is sent out), and now, supposedly, they've shipped it off to some unknown mystery office, where someone else will let it gather dust for a few months.

As I said, i'm just frustrated :) In case anyone from USCIS is watching, I love you really :)

*scream*

You have encapsulated the process in a humorous nutshell LOL... We need to laugh thru the screams and tears... Thank you :)
