OMG! Is this a mistake??? I just checked the USCIS website and it says that I'm in Post-Decision Activity! OMG! They approved us already!?!?!?!

After doing some research, I believe it means you will be getting your NOA2. :) But don't hold me to my word. I don't know as much as some other people. Just sit tight and wait for others to respond.

If you got it you're very lucky, as the rest of us will have to wait for a very very long time....

Let's hope. smile.png

Crossing my fingers this is across the board for everyone! I have heard that they are processing some types of spousal visas really quickly right now. Wouldn't that be wonderful if we all just happened to get lumped into that fabulous pot!?! I keep refreshing my screen to check that this is real....and it is still saying "Post Decision Activity." I called my sister and asked her to put my receipt number into her web browser to double-check that it's real....LOL!

lol, nice. Yes it would be very wonderful, but I honestly don't think it will be for everyone. We're all stuck at the NBC while you got transferred to the CSC, which apparently has the capability to process I-130s just fine. Makes no sense to be honest. Where did you hear they're processing some types of spousal visas really quickly? Like how quickly and where? Just curious..

I think it's for people who are Permanent Residents getting married here in the US to people who are not necessarily legal or who are on student visas or temporary visa situations. I read it in an Irish community newspaper. The article was written by an immigration lawyer who was recommending that people who are considering getting married and planning to apply for a spousal visa should do it ASAP as they are planning to stop the quick processing and revert back to regular time frames after September. My mum gave me the article, incase it would apply to us. Of course, I thought she was just having wishful thinking. I never expected that we'd be so lucky!

Permanent Residents? Huh? Are you a permanent resident? I'm so confused.

What do you mean by revert back the regular time frames? The 16 months #######?

Nope, I'm a U.S. Citizen. But, the article was talking about Permanent Residents who are not citizens. Yes, she was saying that after this window ends, they'll go back to the usual lengthy timeline. From what I saw on the California Service Center, though, the processing timeline for Permanent Residents is more like 2-3 years, though. Pretty ridiculous. I feel bad for them. Except right now, with this deal--I guess the USCIS is trying to bring the processing time-frame down to encourage more people to apply--something about not getting a lot of applications for that type of visa. So strange how that works....

Oh ok. Well, if they really revert back to the 16 month processing time a lot of people on here will be very very upset, myself included, especially with the baby on the way. :( It better not take 2-3 years for us U.S. citizens who are still waiting and sitting at the NBC. Ugh. It's so depressing. Yes, very strange.

What date did you send your application in/was it received? Maybe you're a few days behind me and will get the same notice in a few days! I hope!!! I wonder if there's a way for you to request a rush on yours because of the baby on the way!

By the way, the 2-3 years is only for a Permanent Resident. But you're a citizen, right? That won't apply to you at all!

I sent my package around the same time you sent yours. I'm hoping you're right, but still am not very optimistic about getting processed so fast. Thanks for the good cheer. I've read that they don't expedite for babies, sadly. Apparently, they're thinking is that any woman might get pregnant just to get a green card or something to that effect. I don't get it really.

Ok, good. I'm glad it won't apply to us. Thanks for the clarification.

Blueberry, IT IS! We're now in POST DECISION ACTIVITY! I've been trying so hard NOT to wake up my hubby until 7am his time! I'm really being kind here....I started crying my eyes out when I realized it was real. I made my sister check it to be sure. She checked and read it for me. She said she thought I was joking when I told her that it was approved. But, it was for real!

What it says on the website is that I'm in Post-Decision and here's what's under it:

Post Decision Activity

On September 24, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

I don't know what exactly to expect now or what I need to do...I guess I'd better figure that out starting tomorrow! Tonight, I'm eating a Klondike Ice-cream in celebration! LOL! I just can't believe this!

I really hope this is how it's going to be for you, too, Blueberry!!!!

My hubby is going to think something is WRONG when he wakes up and sees the text message I left for him.... "CALL ME WHEN YOU WAKE UP! It's IMPORTANT!" LOL! It was the nicest I could do not to wake him....hope he doesn't have a heart attack!
