Ah you're right. There seem to be cases that have directly gone to Vermont since ~May 2013 that haven't been approved though.. So I guess they're working on those? (but I thought they didn't send petitions directly service centres prior to ~Oct 22nd?). I thought I had a pretty good grasp on this process, but VSC is completely throwing me off sad.png

(Btw, sorry about your NSC transfer. I get how difficult that can be, but please stay strong and don't let it damage you! You and your relationship are far more important than anything else. Plus, someday you'll look back and this'll all be a vague memory in the big picture of things smile.png )

It's hard to say what VSC has been doing, to be honest.. But I am really keeping my fingers crossed for all VSC'ers! and the rest of us! :)

Yes, I-130 petitions started going directly to the service centers around Oct 21st.

However, we need to remember that I-130s are also filed for Adjustment of Status, family preference categories, Provisional Waivers..

not only for immediate relatives of USCs.

Also, this- http://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Laws/Memoranda/2011/April/supp-guidance-adam-walsh-actpdf.pdf

Cases that fall under Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act ('AWA') have been (were? not sure if this memorandum is still current) going to VSC.

And thank you, you're so sweet! I am planing on totally erasing this 'experience' aka immigration process from my memory! :D

Thanks! Me too!

I never thought of it like that. I hope that the AWA filers are processed completely separately from others (i.e. I don't wanna be held back because of someone with an AWA conviction). I guess we won't know what's happening with VSC for another couple of months. :/

:) Ditto. US immigration has plagued my life for far too long (a lot of people close to me have had prior stressful encounters with them). All I can say is http://cdn.memegenerator.net/instances/500x/46793652.jpg

Anyway, stay strong! And message me if you'd ever like to vent :)

Yeah... we can keep guessing all we want for now, but ... we still need to wait what happens! And I do have a feeling we will find out soon enough :)

Fingers crossed!

I think this is just unfair that some cases go to super fast centers, while others.... go to Nebraska rofl.gif

(just kidding, Nebraska is gonna rock this month! ha!)

Haha :D Love the pic! looks like me, 6 months into this nightmare :D

I just sent you a PM :)

Yea I was hoping to get lucky, but nope. I'm going to guess we went to CSC also, seems to be that the same day transfers go to the same service centers. And after tomorrow night I really won't be thinking about where it is until I get back into the states. I just can't wait to see my husband its been almost 8 months since we saw each other last.

Have a great time with your husband samni, make the most of your time together, we all know that those couple of weeks we get are the most precious times :)

My husband will be here tomorrow for 3 weeks. I'm thinking CSC is waiting for him to be here. If we can get that approval and have him here with me face to face - just thinking about it gives me goosebumps! I should simmer down, now!

Anyhoo, even though my other half will be here, I will still be updating the spreadsheet (although probably not as active on this thread). Deep has graciously volunteered to help me out and is the other admin, so please don't think I'm leaving you all high and dry!
