Just checking in to say hi to everyone. No news here. I did notice some talk about all the I-130's going to the same place. But, I think I'm still the only one who was routed to California! As usual, I'm the odd one. LOL! Story of my life...jest.gif

Anyway, I hope you're all having a great weekend despite the distances some of us are enduring with our LD situations! energy.gif For those waiting for NOA1, good luck and don't stress...it will come!

In the meantime, it's the first day of Fall tomorrow! I'm ready for holiday times ahead! halloween.gif Happy Fall Y'all!!!!

APPROVED 2/13/2014! dancin5hr.gif Day before heart.gif day. rose.gif

I think I just realized something really bad...about why I was routed to California. I'm afraid they think I'm a Permanent Resident, even though I'm actually a U.S. citizen. Oh oh! I was looking at their processing timeline...and they have no line for a citizen requesting an I-130, only for Permanent Residents. I wasn't born in the U.S. but am a citizen. A little worried now. I think I'm going to have to make some noise if this is the case....

I'm a little confused on what you're saying on the K-3 visa. Can you please explain? So it's not worth it? haha Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, I totally understand the reason why Poland is not a part of the VWP, but it's so obscenely dumb and makes no sense. On the one hand they're telling Polish citizens "you're not eligible for a visa because we deny you for reasons outside of your control" and on the other hand they're saying "we won't let you travel visa free because you're denied so often". So either way they're screwed and in the end you just go around in circles and it's a catch-22. I hate it so much I can't even think about it without having the veins in my head start bulging out. Ugh. So so stupid. I will never forgive the embassy in Warsaw for denying my wife her visitor's visa and sometimes I honestly ask whether it would be better if we lived in Poland, where she's actually respected as a human being with feelings and thoughts. When I go with her to the interview for her spousal visa I won't be smiling at all and I won't even look at the person doing the interview. Those people disgust me in more ways than I can count and make their livelihood by ruining other people's lives. If the person doing the interview smiles I won't smile back because they are not worthy of my respect in any way, shape or form. I won't be happy until my wife actually is at my house, away from the paperwork, bureaucracy and inhumane treatment she received this entire time.

I agree with you. Le'ts hope you're right and that everything will start going fast really soon. I'd hate to have to wait for 1.5 to 2 years for my wife to be here. Sometimes I fear this recent backlog will become the new norm and that's what we're all going to be doing. :/ sad.png I see all these recent approvals on VJ with timelines of 9 to 11 months and I just wish my wife and I would have been able to start the process one year earlier and we wouldn't have to worry about waiting, especially with the baby on the way. sad.png I'm not really positive about anything regarding this whole process. It's very hard for me to be optimistic at all, especially after realizing what the government can and will do after my wife got denied her visitor visa. Sorry if I'm being a downer....

Re: K-3 visa.

After filing I-129f they pull out your I-130 and put them together. They are adjudicated together.

No one really knows where K-3 are adjudicated.

If they are adjudicated at NBC/Missouri, a place that is severely backlogged- there is no way it will be any faster than I-130.

If it turns out Kansas processes petitions quickly, having your petition sent to NBC/Missouri would be like shooting yourself in the foot.

But, you CAN file I-129f/I-130. It still is an option.

So, these could be possible scenarios..

1. You file I-129f-> it is sent to NBC/Missouri -> your I-130 gets pulled out from Kansas and sent to NBC/Missouri-> after 8-9 months both your petitions get approved -> approved I-130 always cancels I-129f -> NVC and so on

2. You file I-129f-> it is sent to NBC/Kansas -> they pull out your I-130 from some box and put your petitions together in another box -> after who knows how long both your petitions get approved-> approved I-130 cancels I-129f -> NVC etc...

It's just so hard to say if filing K-3 makes sense now cause we don't know the Kansas facility processing times yet.. and you will still end up on I-130 route.

Yep, I did check the application to be sure/certain/100% that I filled out "U.S. Citizen" and it does say that.

I've sent a note to my Senator now. I'm worried now that they've put me in some other pile because of being born in another country. They even got a copy of my naturalization certificate, so they shouldn't treat my application any differently. I'm going to have to stay on top of this since my case was referred to Cali. I was hoping it was because I lived here, but now I'm concerned....

Hope your Senator will be helpful !

I'd still call USCIS...

But I think once CSC realizes your petition was wrongly sent there, they'll transfer it to Kansas.

Yes...and that is going to be my next "issue" is that there is a delay because of THEIR error. SO they'd better do some fast-tracking if that's the case. I also emailed the USCIS Ombudsman with an inquiry. I guess that's who oversees them. IF that's what has happened, I'd better keep myself on my toes or we could be waiting 2-3 YEARS! That's how long it is for Permanent Residents. I'm not settling for that...not at all. ARGH!

Are you still optimistic about Overland Park helping the backlog?

Yes, I am!

They figured out how to clear the backlog with K-1s and now they get approved super fast.

Overland Park, KS is a solution to the I-130 backlog.

I do believe it.

I know there is still a chance this won't happen... We'll know soon enough.

I hope you're right Blueberry, about them sending the processing to the new facility...hopefully mine will go there too if I make them realize that it might be in the wrong place now...

I'm pretty sure that's what I've read somewhere... That wrongly routed petition gets transferred to the correct center.

Btw, am I the only crazy one here who checks the 'case status' 3 times a day, foolishly hoping it was 'touched' ? :P

Look what I just found:

Posted Yesterday, 05:20 PM

The california center suffered a broken water pipe and serious flooding that is why we are all being shipped to other offices. My gf on here went to Texas, mine is out of california now and in Missouri and has MSC prefix also. I am happy for those of you who get visa. I have been waiting now for 4 years, married 3 and a half.
