well i guess it wasnt' a tier 2 afterall... she«s waiting for the call back, but the first lady she talked to, i assume a tier 1, said it was in philly and that she went further into the system to get more details.

how credible does this sound? i don't trust it...

Tier 1's know the same as you do on the site, they give you ####### (mostly to get you off the phone). Tier 2's can sometimes tell you sometimes not, luck of the draw!

Recently we have seen the transfer letter come in a matter of days, mine was only 4 days!

Yup :) lets hope they squeeze another day of productivity into the week at the very least :)

And now, my head is in a spin... I have to read up on what happens next, because my mind has gone blank with excitement

You're going to get 2 more e-mails tomorrow. I recommend calling USCIS on Monday, get to a Tier 2 to find out your petition went. If you read earlier posts you'll get tips on what to say when you call :-) Or you can wait to receive the paper copy!

Good luck!!!

Good luck!!!

When you say 'how the petition went', what does that mean exactly? Sorry, I dont mean to sound stupid :) Do you mean if it was approved or not?

I'm not sure I'll be able to contain the excitement until I receive the paper notice, so I'll probably have to call them. I'm in the UK now and leave for Florida on March 11th, so I'm hoping the NOA2 will be delivered to me when I get back (the post office there is holding my mail until March 12th) but I'm probably a little too excited to wait that long dancin5hr.gif

EEK! Aren't you 9/13 too?! Oh man, now I'm nervous.

No, my priority date is September 20. The NOA1 is dated September 24, but priority date is September 20...so it looks like they're working even faster than we hoped goofy.gif

haha, I only use it for special circumstances. ;)

Yeah, it's a lot of information that can make you go cross-eyed but take one step at a time and cross items off the list as you prepare for that next stage. Best of luck on a swift NOA2!

Thanks, and you too :)

I think the thing that is confusing me is all the different form numbers. Who the hell thinks those numbers up?? DS-3032, I-864, I-130... I have a hard enough time remembering my phone number, which I literally have to look up on my phone if someone asks me for it...

haha, yeah, and also considering some forms are obsolete based on electronically entering information for some of them.

Also, since you didn't get a reply, she was referring to you calling to find out where your petition was transferred.

Oh I seeeee :) Makes sense.

I dunno... God bless America and all that jazz, but I'm sure they could have made this whole process a whole lot easier. When my parents moved to the US in 1961, they were charged $15 to have their fingerprints taken, they signed a form to say they were decent people, and they crossed the border. Somewhere between 'paying $15' and 'DS-2032 I-130 I-666 BS-409 AOS NVC USCIS #######', I'm sure someone could have invented a slightly easier system. One that doesn't cause people such stress and angst. One that doesnt separate families. One that doesn't cost so much...
