As I said DO NOT talk with the operator person who answering the phone. Request, NO DEMAND a Tier 2 Supervisor and do not get off phone until you know what and where your RFE is and what is going on.

It's time to go gangsta on USCIS now. wink.png

Ok, as everyone said:

- talk to a tier 2

- Call your congressman or senator

- make an infopass apointment with USCIS

Have you done those 3 things? If you haven't, it is not time to give up yet!

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
I am the benifeciary

If you want to give up the k1 and get marry and do the other route you will have to start over again and wait 5 or more month . Why dont you try and schedule a infopass , just calling around wont do you anything. Sometimes tier 1 and 2 are useless ( my experience with them) so the best thing you can do right now is try to get a info pass apointment..

??? thanks to everyone this support means a lot . Especially since our lives continue even while our cases are on hold. Right now my life is a bit messy and he is the only one keeping me going besides our daughter .

I called and talked to a tier 2 , told me the same exact thing. That a service request was already sent . And until aug15 I wasn't at the 60day mark. Also suggested I changed my mailing address to my home address. But I've received letters from them there before, why would this be a problem .

I called a congressman and if course" we'll give you a call" was the last response. I got that last time.

I want to make an info pass, i just don't want them saying the same thing "wait till aug15"

I would be so annoyed

I mean until September 15 I am not past the 60 days

you have not engaged anyone at the Congressman's office.

Please to read my post, and 'do stuff' listed there.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

I had a congressmans secretary call me back and give me the adress to my local congressman office. Do I called right away snf talked to someone who helped a lot. He explained that altho I had changed my address in May, uscis didn't changed it until Aug 15. So my RFE got lost. Then he told me to fill and send a release form and send him copies of all the papers I had received from them.

I did it right away. That was friday, lets see how long it'll take to see if they'll get me results.

I might get an info pass noe that I know what the problem was. Maybe they'll tell me

i swear -- you must ask for the immigration liason staffer at the Congressman's office.

So far, you've not written back, of successful engagement with an immigration liason staffer at the Congressman's office.

What's the delay? What's the problem?

Verbiage to use on the phone call:

Hi ! I need the name and telephone number of the immigration liason staffer

Now make another phone call.

Hi I need to speak with <<insert name here>>

Then the conversation:

Did you get my privacy release form that I faxed into your office? Yes? Great ! Here's my problem

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

The Tier 1 (T1) Immigration Officers (IOs) are the first people you speak to when you call the USCIS customer service number. They can only see what you, yourself, can see when checking your case status via the USCIS page, and the "my account" page, and what can be found on the website. They cannot do much for you, unfortunately.

T1 IOs often give misinformation and are notorious for misleading people, or having them fill out the wrong forms.

When you call, give the T1 IO all your information -- case #, birthday, etc... whatever they need to pull up your file; when they transfer you to the Tier 2 IO they will need that information since they send it along with the call. Once they have your file tell them you have case specific question and ask to speak with a Tier 2 (T2) IO. They will try and offer you a call back in 3-5 business days or the option to wait. Choose to wait. The T2 IO will then have your case pulled up when your call is picked up in the queue. If you're calling from a US number, I would recommend opting in for their "automated call back service". You will not lose your place in line, and you don't have to stay on the phone -- saving you minutes and time. The service will call you back 1 minute before a T2 IO picks up your call in the queue.

As a word of advice -- it's a common occurrence for the IOs to be quite rude, so remain calm, and polite and write down their ID number. Once they know you wrote that down, they're usually EXTRA nice. Also make sure that you make it well known that you've called (and if you have the logs on your phone, gives dates & times) to have your RFE re-sent. Tell them you never received the hard copy, and that you don't know what evidence you need to provide. Tell them you've been waiting for 60 days and INSIST that something be done now. I had this issue with my NoA2, I never got the hardcopy... I had to nag the ####### out of them. I emailed my senator, called USCIS several times, emailed the service center, and emailed the USCIS Headquarters. I have the NoA2 now though. smile.png

Don't give up, just be a big enough pain in their ####### that they will HAVE to pay attention. smile.png

There is no such thing as a tier 1 IO

the tier 1 is a customer service operator.. third party contractor

the officers are all the tier 2's

and those guys mess things up all the time too
