I thought they would do their job but apparently putting things on hold and doing it whenever they want is a norm.

We are at the 60 day mark and still no one can tell me anythiing about this missing RFE.

We are now 9 months in this. I'm done.

Congrats to all those with good stories to tell but I will personally tell everyonw to go get married first and avoid all this heart ache

I've called every office out there and no help. Its like it doesn't matter and it sucks for me only.

Ill be removing the petition next month

I am sorry to hear that. Did you get an RFE? What kind an RFE did you get?

You will need to speak to a tier 2 and ask for a info pass appointment. Your not the only one this has happened too many people have had missing rfe. It's best to go in to their office with a appointment and take all your paper work with you. That's the only way to resolve missing rfes.

This is sad, but you need to stay positive! I know that it can get difficult and looking at the processing times only makes it worse. If I were you I would call USCIS and speak to a supervisor. Explain the situation to them. I called hundreds of times, eventually I would call and speak to a spanish speaking rep and ultimately they became a little more helpful. It was difficult because english is my first language and although I can speak in spanish there many words that I don't know how to translate.

I would ask can you resend the RFE with whatever they asked for. And ALWAYS send them with signature confirmation and tracking.. There is a fee but at least you know someone has to sign for it and gives you more security..

If you love your fiance never give up.. The last thing you lose is HOPE!!!!! Much luck to you :)

Thank you for the encouraging words. I never received the RFE so I don't know what they want. Every time I call, I get someone that tells me the same thing over and over. To wait and wait. And I know that the dates to turn in most RFEs is 3months. And here I am at the 2month mark.

Although they swear the 2month mark will be aug15 and refuse to take action before then

Being married already does not make the process go any faster...actually right now, I-130s are going slower than K-1. I hope that you are able to get some answers and get the RFE sorted out. Wishing you the best!

Sorry to hear of all the delay and misinformation. First why pull the position? Are you giving up on your relationship? If you got married you are looking at a 9 to 1 year wait just at NVC then another 2 to 4 months at NVC and DR is months f waiting fro interview. I have people on list from July still waiting for an interview date.

First thing tomorrow you need to do (the petitioner I am talking to) is get a hold of your congressman or Senator in your district. ASAP in morning. You should have been on this soon as it was 30 days.

Have you talked to a Tier 2 Supervisor or you just been talking to whoever answers the phone at USCIS?

You could call right now and ask for Tier 2 supervisor and ask what the heck where is your RFE. Do that now report back.

First call USCIS right now. Than after that no resuts Congressman tomorrow morning.

No. I'd never give up on our relationship. It just seems so hopeless.

I talked this morning to a rep from USCIS, of course they told me to wait the 30 day mark.

I called congressman from my area and never got a reply.

I think its too late to call USCIS now, but I will in the morning. Thank you

As I said DO NOT talk with the operator person who answering the phone. Request, NO DEMAND a Tier 2 Supervisor and do not get off phone until you know what and where your RFE is and what is going on.

It's time to go gangsta on USCIS now. ;)

calling a congressman isn't enough.

you must find and engage with the immigration liason staffer, and make sure you send over a signed privacy release form thingie.

Once they have that form in their office, then they will take action.

I did this - email'd a scan'd version and also a fax, along with a longish letter. I got the first answer back within a week.

Seriously, call in tomorrow, ask for the 'immigration liason staffer' .

Definitely call your Senator's office and ask for the immigration liaison. It took 2 months for my NOA2 to get to NVC...but it didn't happen until I talked to my senator's office and they checked into it and a week later it was at the NVC....don't give up!!!
