Hi!
I was wondering if someone has already been trough this, maybe you can help me with this because I feel so insecure!
I'm from Argentina, and my boyfriend is from the US. We are in the middle of the process for my K1 visa.

We sent the first package with forms and everything in the begining of july, and we got it approved around 08/22/13. (First question: does this mean that we have the NOA2?)
from what my boyfriend tells me that is going to happen now, he is going to get this package via mail, and at the same time I'm going to get something in the mail from the embassy in my country. (second question: is this the NOA3?)
so... I think that this package I'm going to get will include an istructions packet that lists a bunch of things that you have to bring to the embassy so they tell you when you have your interview.

I found one of this here in the forum, from the embassy in Buenos Aires, and dated as the version approved in July 2013.
I have some questions about that...
There are a bunch of documents that are not necesary for everyone, right?
In my particular case.. I think I only need
DS-156
DS-156K
Photograps
Valid passport and previous passport copies
Birth cerificate (certified) legalized copy +translation
police certificate + translation

physical examination (the photocopy of the closed envelope they will give me?)

evidence of support
evidence of the relationship

questions..
To go to the embassy I have to travel 24 hours by bus. I have to take my vacations from work, which only are 2 weeks.

  • sould I make the appointment with the doctor so I have my medical exam as soon as I get to Buenos Aires?
  • I will have to get some papers such as the police certificate, the birth certificate and the translation when I'm already in Buenos aires, plus the results of the medical exam. that will take a few days for sure and I also have to put it together and take it to the embassy... and wait until they process it and (go there again in person?) for them to tell me the date of my interview.
Do you think 2 weeks will be enough time for all that to happen? it's like, just 10 business days. and obviously I can't take more days from work-

I'm sorry if i'm making too many questions. I feel so insecure, my fiance went back to the US and I'm dealing with all this on my own. Maybe if someone has already been through this and it is not as complicated as it seems to be, it may calm me down a little bit.

thanks so much!
