Ok so my fiance was a little stubborn and would not make his medical appointment untill he had the interview letter in his hands. Now that he got it and made an appointment its really close to the interview. Medical scheduled for Sept 18 with an appointment on Sept 23 to pick up. His interview is scheduled for the 24th. Does anyone have experience on how long it really takes to get the medical done? If they say the packet will be ready on the 23rd do you think it will be? I dont remember which one he made the appointment with its one of the ones in Kingston. Im so stressed that we will be missing something or something will slow this process down. I don't want any mistakes.

It is normal for pick up the day before interview. You will receive it in a sealed envelope with another letter. You keep the letter for your records, cause he will need the DS-3025 for his AOS when he gets to the states. Make sure he does not open his medical packet.

Girl that is real sticky. That is cutting it kinda close. What I would do is call and confirm. Reiterate that your appointment is on the 24rd and you just need to ensure that there is enough time between the medical and appointment to get the results back. If it is too close ask them if there is anyway to re-schedule they medical for an earlier date. Today is Sept 3 (dem muss cah find a betta date). If they say its enough time don't stress yuhself. My finance medical was on Aug 19 with a pick up on the 27th the day before his interview and he was fine.

Just call an confirm.

Do we need the interview letter in hand before we can make an appointment to do the medical?

Technically you don't need the appointment letter in hand before making an appointment for the medical. You just need to know when your interview appointment is. When you go for the medical you will need to have the appointment letter with you - in hand.
