3 HIGH SCHOOL TEENAGERS ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY RAPING 3 YOUNG BOYS AT SCHOOL-SPONSORED SPORTS CAMP.

Three teenagers were arrested on Friday for allegedly raping three high school freshmen at a school-sponsored sports camp in Western Massachusetts.

Galileo Mondol, 17, and two unidentified 16-year-olds, all juniors at Somerville High School, are accused of entering a cabin and sexually assaulting three males, according to the Boston Globe.

“These are terrible allegations. I’m disturbed and appalled that they may have happened,” said Somerville Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone, who was at the camp coaching.

“The incident goes far beyond hazing. This is rape,’’ he added.

All six boys are reportedly members of the school soccer team. The allegations were first reported to the athletic department at Somerville High School on Tuesday, ultimately resulting in an investigation leading to the arrest of the three teenagers.

Superintendent Tony Pierantozzi spoke at a news conference, saying he was stunned by what allegedly happened.

“All of us, frankly, are horrified at these allegations,” Pierantozzi said. “We will ensure to the best of our ability that everyone and anyone who needs support will have it.”

Curtatone and Pierantozzi also issued a joint statement Friday expressing further dismay at the incident.

“We are disturbed and appalled that these crimes may have taken place and our thoughts and concerns are with the victims and their families,” the statement said. “Our student-athletes are taught to be leaders in our community and they represent the highest and best values that our school and our community hold.”

“We would like to thank the members of the soccer team for their compassionate support of the victims and their courage in coming forward to assist authorities with the investigation,” it added.

161 students were enrolled at the camp with 19 adult supervisors.

Trust me, the BSA have been dealing with this stuff for a long time, now they have positioned themselves in such a way that the next story that breaks (in their ranks) will garner lots of coverage.

Even with their former policy they had to pay out tens of millions of dollars to scouts who became victims.
