I just got my 10 YRS PR in the mail today. This came as a big suprise as I have read different stories about delays and slow or no response from USCIS.

Here is a brief timeline:

July 10th, 2006 - Mailed I-751 package to USCIS California center

August 16th, 2006 - Received I-797C NOA (1 year extension of CPR)

August 17th, 2006 - Received I-797C NOA (Biometrics)

August 23rd, 2006 - Went for biometrics appointment

December 6th, 2006 - Received 10yrs PR in the mail with condition removed

As you can see the whole process took approximaetly 5 months.

Here is a list of documents I included with my I-751 package:

1) Letter to USCIS introducing my wife (she sponsored me, she's a US citizen) and I, purpose of filing and a list of all the documented included in my package.

2) form I-751

3) 2 Passport size Photographs

4) Filing fee

5) Copy of Conditional PR

6) 2 letters from relative & friend with knowledge of our marriage

7) I-797 NOA (this is the letter that came with my Conditional PR)

8) Documents showing evidence of relationship. All these documents had both of our names on them. This included:

Birth certificate of our child, House grant deed sho(you can use rental agreement if you don't own a home), Joint bank account, Utility bill, Car registration, auto insurance, marriage certificate, property tax, property insurance (if you have rental insurance use that instead), Joint loan, Federal income tax, water bill
