I'm not sure about this, but I saw when looking into Social Security requests that immigrants can apply for the SSN when they fill out their DS-230, which I BELIEVE is something we'll do for the embassy and take to the interview (I think they need that particular form, I'm not certain). Does anyone have any experience with this? If I'm wrong about the forms, I apologize, but this is what I found and why I was curious....

Any info is appreciated...thanks!

OP - yer filing for a K-1 visa somwhere/how.

Part II of the DS-230 doesn't apply to you.

Part II of the DS-230 has that checkbox.

Sorry.

Want a SSN? 14 days after POE date, walk into a SSA office, apply in person, in visa name.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
