Philippine passport without signature

Hello fellow VJ'ers, I was wondering if it's common for minors not to have their signature on their passport. My brother-in-law is 14 years old and we just noticed that he didn't have his signature on his passport. This would be a problem? Can he put his signature on it?

Thank you!

"Have faith in God, Jesus answered. I'll tell you the truth. if anyone says to this mountain, Go, throw yourself to the sea, and that does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen. it will be done for him. Therefore I'll tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours" (MARK 11:22-24)

Are you talking a Philippine passport? I only ask because of the Canada display of country.

You could try contacting DFA for a definitive answer: http://www.passport.com.ph/requirements

Being he is a minor it seems logical for the passport not to have his signature IMO.

He can affix his signature on the very last page of the passport, beneath the "Person to contact in case of emergency".

My husband's Philippine passport doesn't show his signature on the bio page but it didn't cause any problem as it is the same passport that he used on his F2B visa application.
