Hello everybody,

I am sorry, this post is only for Morocco people, because they can help me better.

I need to know : how can I reach my family by phone from the US? I will be there inchallah soon and I have this concern. I just want to say that my question is only about how to reach a landline in Morocco from the USA. Please, share your experiences, may you suggest something credible and affordable.

For example, what do you think of VIP Communications for Wafin community? Is it reliable?

Hi, Yes you can use VIP Communications for land line calls is great!! i have been using the service over a year now it's cheaper and relaiable . I don't know about other members experience.

I use the Africa calling card to call my husband in Morocco. The cost is not too bad. And I have never had any problems with connection.

Verizon wireless has international plan for $3.99/month in addition to your other monthly costs. That international plan brings the cost to 0.49/minute to landline and 0.61/minute to a cell. I know that's not ideal but my current company (Sprint) charges $4.00/minute. Our cells are set-up different than yours. If you have an iPhone now you can bring that over and save the cost of a new cell. I'm sure when he gets here we will look into some of the options mentioned above. I'm going to have to watch this thread.

I went back and looked at the Africa calling card. It is 1.6 cents a minute to a Morocco landline and 27.7 cents to a Morocco cell phone. I call my husband a lot and I don't spend very much money so for me this is a good option.

We use VIP, never had a problem. They have the best rates.

well if the calls are just temporary you can use a prepaid calling card, if you are looking for long term it is different. i use H2O as my provider, i pay 40 dollars a month and i get 5 hours calling time to land lines in Morocco free a month.
