On December 6, 2006, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

SO SO Happy :) Now I just need to figure out this I824 thing - I really hope it doesn't add a significant amount of time. I'm thinking about just sending it in right away, rather than waiting to see if they decide to send it to NVC.

Hope everyone else gets good new soon!!

Sandy

Thanks for the congratulations!

Bosnia - I've personally never heard of anyone filing the I824 at the same time as the I130. In the past it was unnecessary b/c USCIS would automatically send approved I130's to NVC. I'm not sure - but we are in pretty much the exact same situation, approved I130, but not I129F, hopefully they will just send our approved petitions to NVC asap :) Congrats on your approval too!

Congratulations!!!!!

Ok so I think we're in a similar situation (Approved I-130 and in Canada).. do go ahead and read james' shortcuts!!!

I also managed to call the automated hotline to find out if they have transferred (not yet) but I'll check in another week... once they have assigned a case number to me, I'll get the ball rolling by sending out that emai lfor the choice of agent, and so on and so forth.... We can figure this out together!

Oh FYI, in a previous post I said i was gonna get the police certificate but i can't get it yet because I'll need some sort of request letter from USCIS. so i can't just walk to the police office and get it....
