Well...I think I figure out why Baltimore is so slow...was looking at that trackkit website and read a couple of the threads and found a link someone posted:

http://articles.baltimoresun.com/2013-12-12/news/bs-md-federal-immigration-office-moving-20131212_1_immigration-services-new-digs-green-cards

Looks like Baltimore just moved to a brand new office (they had previously had the deported jail right in with the citizenship processing, just for a bit of juxtaposition, I suppose); last week they had totally off for the move.

Makes more sense in why there hasn't been any movement, so I hope we'll hear something soon now.

just called them today,it so happens that after january 23d it's gonna be the fith month since it's sitting on the line for the interview scheduling. My husband called them today and said he would like to get straight to tier 2 officer, and (!!!)they said:we normally forward your calls to tier 2 if you require, but not today,we had been off yesterday(MLK day),and today we have a whole bunch of ppl calling in and we got an order not to transfer O_O.

how do you like that?the office is seriously out of any possible time frames!and they are not even trying to speed it up!it's pain to see october ppl getting their citizenship in january, and i'm still sitting in line(august filer) with no information and progress....makes it impossible for me to apply for a federal job. ARGH!!!

I tried that and the bottom one says on december 24th we sent you the interview letter. I tried the top and it says on January 6th You are in oath scheduling que. I guess mine didn't work as i hoped.

I had my interview done on december 12th and the bottom one said on 10th december they scheduled me for interview.

I am thinking that offices scan the bottom numbers ,

cus in my case bottom numbers always changed before the top numbers.

Hi Yes those numbers i put earlier they are not the real numbers those numbers were just examples. No body is going to put thier original numbers of their application.

Your NBC number on the appointment should be like this NBC*123456789

if you look on the bottom of the appointment letter theres another barcode and another number its should be like this NBC$123456333..... So remove $ sign from the numbers and letters and put a * , which will make it look like this NBC*123456333...

This theory worked for me and for

Whtevr

dont know for how many people it will work out.

You can try it use * instead of $ sign between the numbers.

I tried this and with my $ number (substituting a * for the $) it says they scheduled an oath ceremony for me on Dec 30, 2014. My * number says still inline for an interview. Seeing as I have not yet had an interview, i'm pretty sure the $ number is not mine. I don't think you can simply replace the $ with a * — I think it brings up someone else's number.

So, since I've been in line for scheuling for a full 90 days now and received nothing, I'm going to call them today.

Anyone else with the Baltimore office, aside from Justine+David?

I just called. As of today, Baltimore office is only processing from May 24th 2014, so I could potentially wait another 4 months. Their processing time has gone from 5.5 months when I first started this process in September 2013 to 6.3 months now (you can see that on the USCIS website). It must be because of their move. How annoying!

Just reporting that my wife, by letter and in person at the interview said that we would be out of country until Jan 21 and requested an interview thereafter. The officer took the info, highlighted the dates. Yesterday, the 21st, the day we returned back to the US, we got the following message:

"On January 21, 2014, we scheduled you for your oath ceremony and sent a notice providing the date, time, and location. If you move prior to the scheduled ceremony, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283."

Kudos to the San Jose field office for doing it right! IMHO, there were others who recommended that we postpone our travels. We did not, and everything worked as planned. Now waiting for the letter, then on to citizenship for my wife!

Where am I at in the process? :

-Oath Ceremony scheduled for Feb 7, 2014 (scheduled late by request)

-Successful Citizenship interview, Dec 11, 2013

-fingerprint appointment, Oct 24, 2013

One of the August filers just got an interview date for February according to trackkit. I assume we'll get our own letters in a few weeks based on that. Remember that the processing time was updated only in November, so it's probably past that May date anyway and they're always off because it's based off the earliest person they are still processing whereas the bulk of people are much farther down the line than that, based on what I've read and seen in my own experience through our visa journey.

It is pretty annoying though...we're supposed to be going overseas and moving in a couple of months. I hope they can start moving quicker soon.

Gee,are you serious?so you applied in September and still are waiting for your biometrics???i can't believe it,i think you definitely have to schedule either infopass or should call tier 2.

Agree with you on the second part of your post-exactly how i feel-like i'm on hold.i mean i know lots of jobs still accept job applications as long as you have your work authorization and permanent resident status, but seriously-good federal positions are only available upon citizenship update.that is so sad!cosidering that office is so slow.

I was just about to say that!i'm not sure about that truckit system, but i've checked the statistics, and june filers have been interviewd in the end of october-beginning of november,so i believe december-january is for july,february-march for august and so on.so guys just hold on,i believe they are getting to us!biggrin.png

and i don't believe their may-24 thing, first of all it updates extremily slow, and the second thing m thought is that they have wide range frames of the cases they process:say may 24-july 24 may be processed at the same time, the reason why they put may 24 is because these are the earliest applications and if you are beyond the date, and filed in april you certainly have to contact them)..and i think may 24 cases include some extremes-such as time for decision making(if wasn't approved in the interview),or RFE,or some other extreme circumstances that could lead to such an extend time frame.
