Yay so these morons sent me the yellow letter. It says that I indicated that I have been arrested and I need to bring original court documents. Needless to say, I have never been arrested. I even circled the word "cited", which I did just to err on the side of caution because I got two tickets, both abroad, both under $500, not involving a DUI (one was for driving into a street intended for residents only, the other one for not paying a toll fee with a rental car). I have the payment receipts (one is in Italian, do they want me to translate it?), and I am happy to take them with me, although the instructions clearly say that you don't have to. Any input?

I am so impatient to be done with these people.

I filed my wife's and mine at the sametime. We both did the fingerprinting at the sametime. Yesterday I received the yellow letter only for my wife and not for me. Has that happened to anyone?

Don't worry about that. Not everybody receive that yellow letter. Some people receive it and some not. So its okay.

Thanks for the quick response. Waiting for both of us to get out of the inline status has been 2 months now.

I've been waiting since October 18 th for inline status and still didn't get nothing at all. Still stuck in the biometrics status. I'm not that worries though because tomorrow i will be exactly one month away from my three year anniversary, so hopefully i hear something by today or tomorrow. Oh I didn't even receive the yellow letter as well.

I am a August filer. I did my biometrics on 9/16/. My three year anniversary has been completed on 11/23/2013. Still I didn't got the Inline status message or anything. There are many other people who are in same situations. So its not 100% true that you will be placed inline or scheduled for an interview before 1 month of your 3rd GC anniversary. Its all depends on your local field office how busy they are. But I hope u will hear something tomorrow. Good luck.

That's true it all depends on the local office. I wish you luck as well and i hope you hear something really soon. I know that even we are legally I'm status for the next 10 years but even the last step is kind of stressful. A little lol. Good luck buddy, keep us posted about your case.

I have a feeling nothing will happen this week due to Thanksgiving. I'm sure there's a bunch of USCIS employees on vacation. Maybe next week the wheel will start turning again. I don't think we'll get an interview this year unless you have it already.

Make sure you bring the items listed on the appointment letter as well as the items on the yellow notice. For certain bring your Green Card, other photo ID and the appointment letter.

And bring your Passport!

Ok, so here is the thing: my yellow letter says to bring the original court documents regarding my arrests. I have never been arrested, therefore no such documents exist. I disclosed two traffic violations, but my letter doesn't say "bring original court documents regarding your arrests or your traffic violations". Reading it in a lawyer-like fashion, I should not be required to bring anything regarding my traffic violations, because they didn't ask for them. Also, the N-400 instructions clearly say that you do not have to submit evidence of traffic violations with a fine of less than $500 and not involving a DUI. An arrest is very different from a citation, and I don't think I should assume that they asked for arrests but in fact meant citations.
