I haven't received my NOA or FP appointment letter yet but thinking of doing early walk in at ASC in Boston, MA. Were you asked about why you wanted to do early FP as opposed to o nthe scheduled date? Do I need to make up a reason?

N-400 Package Mailed, from MA to Dallas, TX: 09/13/2013

You will definately need your biometrics appointment letter, I just had to explain about our travel plans that happened to be on the day of our appoinment....

I will definitely wait for the appointment letter but was wondering if I want to do early walkin as a matter of convenience what reason I need to give them and how strict they might be in making sure that I have a real and urgent reason.

just a quick question to everyone.

with the impending spending cuts and default looming on the federal govt as of oct 1, 2013, do u feel our N400 application processing will get delayed once it is Oct 1, 2013. this is assuming the senate and congress are unable to pass the spending bills needed to keep the govt afloat.

Always, always, always be honest. If it is for convenience, tell them so.

Yea I agree with you. This last step is fairly quick (you basically get notices/stuff to do once a month): unless you have something that prevents you from attending whatever you are scheduled for at the scheduled time, it doesn't really make much sense to do early-anything.

Got my biometrics letter today! October 3rd is my appointment! Glad I got is soon, last time I did prints here it was a two month wait!

Married February 20, 2010

Permanent Resident April 22, 2010

Naturalized Citizen January 14, 2014

Fixing your formatting (which will make life MUCH easier later on) and instructions (the other instructions were from the older version of VJ). Also, your listing was missing "eligible" and "in line" dates. We found these very useful here: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/412738-n-400-april-2013-filers/page-81 in determining why some were moving faster than others. I added "eligible" but not in-line. You can always remove it if you hate it.

My package is already in the prepaid envelope to be mailed tomorrow, finally the day has arrived and very excited to become US Citizen.Good luck everyone.

We just sent our application package on Saturday. Pretty much followed the guide here and the one USCIS provides. We took the "Or" to heart since they have everything and we need to really prove time.
