Congrats!good.gif

Had my CFO seminar last Aug.28 and it was good and fun. I have learned a couple of stuffs during the seminar. I was there almost 5am and there was a long line already for the K1 and spouse visas. They let us in past 7am. I prepared original & photocopies of my 2 valid govt ID's and a passport copy. i just informed them that my passport is in USEM still. Then, we went up to the 3rd floor. We were given our respective rooms for each applicant's country destination after we filled up the registration form and handed back to them.

We had our one on one interview 1st before the orientation.. Our counsellor said better to do the one on one 1st so while doing our seminar at least our certificates were ready and printed already by the time we were done. I spent less than 5 minutes only for the interview, the counsellor just asked me; how did i meet my fiance, what's his work and my college degree/profession. She did mostly the sharing of her love story actually and i just listened. And she later asked a photocopy of the passport of my fiance. That was it!smile.png

Dont forget to bring some food to nibble in between and a water/drink.. our counsellor was so nice and understanding, she allowed us to do so.. we started from 9am-1pm..

My fiancée actually enjoyed the CFO and said she learned a lot. It's important to KNOW your fiancé to answer the counselor's questions. Four common questions that I have seen trip people up:

1) Significant mother's maiden name

2) Zip code where your significant other lives

3) Contact phone number for your significant other in the US. (Home #)

4) Significant other's education background.

Make sure you have all the documents they COULD ask for. Better to have them and not need them than to need them and not have them.

Good luck!! smile.png

hey thankyou for the info :) Going to CFO tomorrow with my fiancee. Congrats to you and ur fiancee

hope she'll have a safe trip :)

Hello, yes you can go ahead with the cfo seminar even your original passport is with USEM still, they will let you.. Just have the photocopy of your passport. They will give you the certificate after the seminar and when we have our visa on hand then we have to go back to the cfo along with the issued certificate and they will put the sticker on our passport. Its really up to you, if you do the cfo without your visa or when you have the visa.. Since, i have the time while waiting so i carried on with the seminar and made use of my vacancy.wink.png
