Does anyone know how long it takes NVC to schedule an interview in Dhaka, Bangladesh consulate? I mean what is the waiting time currently?

Appreciate your help, Thankxsmile.png

Congratulations. Added you to the Case Complete Interview thread. Your wait depends on where you are in the queue. And how many slots they have for CR1/IR1 interview. Interview scheduling has been off and on for embassies this month its been a weird month..

I requested your post be deleted where you updated the list. You grabbed a real old list and omitted half of the August folk. And don't want the next update to think thats the latest list. The latest list is always the previous list posted which i had just did. But no big deal all done now.

Yes, as N AHMED indicated it depends on the load at the embassy. Depending on what time of the month your application was approved and how much load embassy have (they can only take say for example 20 interviews a day, 3 days a week and at that pace approximate 240 a month, these numbers are just example). Per the example if your NVC approval serial for that month is 250, guess what? You will be scheduled for the next month.

However in Dhaka embassy the waiting time could be 2 weeks to 2 months. And that's when embassy will contact you and set up a interview time on a future date assuming you will complete all the procedures (medical, pili e clearance, if needed again and etc.) between the date and interview date. The total time to get the passport stamped (assuming candidate will not be subjected to AP - find out what AP means before interview and just be ready if that comes your way) may take 1.5-4 months max. AP would be a different (but common) beast and no one can make a timeline with certainty.

However, congratulations as you crossed the bigger hurdle and just start packing and get ready. It's almost there :-)

congrats!!! it takes around 1 month to 1.5 months to get Interview letter after the case completion. however, it depends on the slot of the specific embassy. good luck!!! thanks

Congratulations.

Congrats...i hope u will get ur packet soon.

Thanks everyone, I am a bit late to reply.

I got the interview date finallysmile.png its on 22nd of October,2013. Got the date on 9th of September, so I got the date on 6th working day from approval. Just can't wait to get it over with.

I have a friend inside embassy, according to him around 70% of people gets AP from Dhaka embassy. It depends on the CO there is no specific rules or regulations for AP but they have been advised frequently to check everyone applying as immigrant even if they have slightest doubts no matter how small it seems during interview. So I am dreading an AP a lot, hope everyone in AP gets there visa stamps soon. Thanks again...good.gif
