hello again, it's me i have yet another question. i think i mentioned before that my fiance and I are trying to prepare for packet 3. will anyone with recent experience please let me know - which forms need to be returned to the consulate right away in packet 3. The embassy section in VJ list Check lists

I know that the checklist and DS-230 have to be sent to the embassy right away to receive packet 4 but do we have to send I134, the police certificate, my fiance's passport, passport style pictures etc. to the embassy before we get packet 4 or does my fiance bring that info to the interview? Please help. If my fiance needs this info right away then i'll mail it to him tomorrow.

one more question, how did it take the embassy to send you packet 3 after the embassy received your case?

I believe I'm the last one who did that.

Indeed after getting packet 3 u need to send them back DS230 part 1 and DS2001 (that's the checklist). nothing else.

it take them about 10 days/ 2 weeks to send back NOA4, in which they give the date of the interview (that is probably going to be another 2 weeks after NOA4).

then at the interview he'll take with him everything else that's on the list (+ photos, enveloppe gonflable). regarding evidence they didn't ask any. the consul just asked me questions about our relationship. Oh and I changed the check list on VJ last week. it was mentioning I864 instead of I134. it is I134 they need, as u wrote.

well, I'm running to the consulate to re-do finger print right now!

My husband is the USC and I am the French one.

we have a son of almost 3.

My husband went back to the US in August not realizing it would be such a pain to get me a visa in a modern world.

I am still living in France with our son and we are longing to get all together again.

we both have a job (stick to it!)

and we do some commuting accross the ocean but that is not a live.

we plan to live in Minnesota but had to file in Vermont due to current address of my husband.

I received our "livret de famille" and my "carte d'inscription consulaire" last week and I was wondering how useful that card is when I am in the USA. Should I keep it in my wallet with me at all times or just leave it in a drawer with my livret de famille?

I have my carte d'inscription in my wallet. Not that it's of any use there, I'm just less likely to loose it.

It's not like the GC that you have to keep with you, it's entirely up to you where you put it. From what I understand the main use of it is when you need papers done at the consulate and being "inscrit" makes it that the consulate can track its citizens and in case of a disaster they can help.

Frenchwife: Welcome on our thread. I hope things go smoothly. Are you thinking of doing CR-1/IR-1 if it goes faster than the K3?

I have another question

In France, I know that each person has a vaccination record or medical record card. Is this needed for the K1 medical exam? If so, is it still possible to take the medical w/o the official French document if it has been lost or destroyed? Is there a way to get a new one? Please help. Thank you.

The doctor used my "carnet de santé" (medical record book) to fill out the form for USCIS. I don't know if they can do it without it or if you can get a new one. Maybe you can call one of the doctors and ask them.
