Congrats Pam! you must be so happy!

I still don't have it. It's been a month. but I didn't do the publiccation des bans, so it might not help! I hope I'll get it within 2 months as the guy from the embassy told me, and not 5 months as Lili!

I received my "livret de famille'' 10 days after sending the forms.

I didn't do '' la publication des bans'' i think that all depend on the consulate and the agent who ''instruct'' the files.

10 days? Damn, my consulate sucks... :P

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.

Hello !!

Yes, i think it depends on the consulate !! Im french, i went to Dallas to marry my fiance who is USC. I arrived on december 3rd, we got married on december 7th and got the "livret de famille" and the visa for him on december 10th at the consulate in Houston. And we were back to France on december 12th !!!! And we didn't do "la publication des bans" !!!!

Hello

I have a really small question... I am filling out the form for the "demande de transcription du mariage" and basically it says:

…………………………………………

My question is for the "avec". Are they asking the name of my husband? I'm pretty sure that's the case but I want to make sure.

I wouldn't have had any problems if the "avec" was before the "celebre a". The fact that it is after makes me wonder if maybe they are asking for the name of the person who married us. I don't know why, but I find it confusing to see the "avec" at the end. It would have made more sense to ask for the husband's name before.

Oh well. Please let me know so I can send all this soon!

but if it was the name of the person who married us, wouldn't they have said "celebre a.... le .... par ...." instead of "avec"?

I put the name of my husband. I don't know who married us?! Some girl at the court house :P ... So I guess they want the name of your husband.

OK then I will put the name of my husband. And if it is wrong, they will probably figure out what is right from the other documents.

Thank you :)
