Hello,

I'm currently under F1 OPT, and applying AOS (130, 485, 864, 765, 131 all together). I made a cover letter. I would appreciate it, if I'm missing something. Thank you in advance.

I-485

· Filing fee: Personal check in amount of $1070.00

· G-1145

· 2 passport-style color photos

· Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status

· Copy of military service certificate

· Explanation of military training and activities

· Copy of criminal history records

· Copy of birth certificate

· Copy of F1 visa from passport including USA entry stamp

· Copy of I-94 (front and back)

· Copy of I-20 / Copy of I-20 updated due to OPT

· I-693, Record of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, sealed envelope by civil surgeon

· G-325A

· Copy of marriage certificate issued in United States

· Copy of marriage certificate issued in South Korea

· Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act by petitioning sponsor

o Copy of W2 and Federal income tax return for 2012 tax year

o Copy of W2 and Federal income tax return for 2011 tax year

o Copy of W2 and Federal income tax return for 2010 tax year

· Form I-864, Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the Act by joint sponsor

o Copy of birth certificate (Joint sponsor)

o Instruction for employment verification (Joint sponsor)

o Paystubs since January 2013

o Copy of W2 and Federal income tax return for 2012 tax year

o Copy of W2, 1099 and Federal income tax return for 2011 tax year

o Copy of W2 and Federal income tax return for 2010 tax year

· I-131, Application for Travel Document

o 2 passport-style color photos

o Copy of identity page from passport

· Documents establishing petitioner’s US citizenship

o Copy of birth certificate (Petitioner)

o Copy of unexpired US passport (Petitioner)

· Copy of beneficiary’s birth certificate

· Copy of beneficiary’s passport

· Copy of certified marriage certificate issued in United States

· Copy of marriage certificate issued in South Korea

· Form G-325A (Petitioner)

· Form G-325A (Beneficiary) including 3 attached pages

· Evidence of bona fide marital relationship

o Copy of apartment lease agreement

o Copy of joint bank account and copy of bank statement (2 pages)

o Copy of internet company bill

o Copy of statement of current service from energy company

o Wedding invitation

o Photo pages as evidence bona fide marriage

  • One G-1145a goes on the front of everything

You don't need immigrant's birth certificate in I-130 (but I guess it doesn't hurt)

You don't need marriage certificate in I-485, unless perhaps if there's a name change or something (but I guess it doesn't hurt)

  • Why do you have two? Did you get married twice?

I-864s only needs one year of tax returns, unless you think 3 years helps you much more.

2. That's what I thought, but I read from some where and I-485, and I-130 might be separated, so I just decided to put birth certificate for I-130 just in case

3. You are right, they don't unless I'm a K-1 fiance visa which I'm not. I'm still contemplating about his. Also,one marriage certificate from my country and it shows I don't have any marriage history before.

4. Yes, that's I was thinking, I don't think it would hurt.
